This neighborhood is home to Indian Shores’ one dog-friendly park, Town Square Nature Park. While dogs aren’t allowed on Town Square’s boardwalk, you can take them for an on-leash stroll on the park’s Pet Walk. This pet walk is located in a grassy area, and it goes past mangroves and along the scenic Intercoastal Waterway. Doggy bags are available for your pup at this pet walk. After your walk, treat your dog to a snack at Haze Ice Cream. This ice cream shop offers doggy ice cream your pup is sure to love! For humans, Haze Ice Cream has over 40 flavors of homemade ice cream, milkshakes, and coffee drinks.

Cobbs Landing

Does your dog love playing off-leash? If so, they’re sure to love Chestnut Park’s Paw Playground, located across the lake from Cobbs Landing! This off-leash park is located 25 miles from Indian Shores in Palm Harbor, and it includes one large, fenced-in area where dogs can play and make new friends. If your dog gets hot after playing in the Florida sunshine, there are cooling stations available with showers. There are also doggy water fountains in the park. After the dog park, continue the fun with lunch at East Lake Varsity Club. This restaurant has a dog menu that includes kibble and plain burgers. While your dog enjoys their meal, you can dine on burgers, quesadillas, wings, and more.

Inverness Park

Inverness Park is home to a popular off-leash area, Enterprise Dog Park. This dog park is 18 miles from Indian Shores, and it includes a huge fenced area with wooded trails your dog can explore off-leash. There’s also a fun area with agility equipment for your dog to play on. If your dog gets thirsty, there are eight doggy water fountains located throughout the park. If your dog gets messy while they’re playing, there’s a rinse station at the front of the park. There are also plenty of doggy waste stations. You and your dog will both have a good time exploring this huge off-leash park!

Palm Hill

If you’re looking for a good place to take your pup for a leisurely stroll, John S. Taylor Park is the right choice for you. This 156.3-acre park is just six miles from Indian Shores, and it welcomes dogs on-leash. While you’re here, you can take your pup for a walk on the park’s 1.8-mile multipurpose trail. This trail goes through woodlands filled with palm trees and pine trees, and it also takes you along the park’s scenic 53-acre lake. If all that walking makes you hungry, go for a picnic with your dog at one of the park’s scenic pavilions. You and your dog will always have a furrific time at John S. Taylor Park!

Rosetree Place

Rosetree Place is home to the always fun Boca Ciega Millennium Dog Park. This 1.5-acre dog run is about four miles from Indian Shores, and it has separate areas for large and small dogs to play in. The park offers furrific agility equipment for your dog to play on, and it also has plenty of space for your pup to run around. If your dog gets messy, a rinse station is available, and there are also water fountains for your dog. If you’re hungry after the dog park, head over to Greek Village. Sit at one of their dog-friendly outdoor tables and enjoy authentic gyros, moussaka, salads, and more.
