Drew Oaks Estates
If you're in Seminole and you want to take your pup somewhere nice, check out the Boca Ciega Millennium Dog Park. This 1.5-acre, fenced park is a great place to let Fido off his leash for some mutts-needed exercise. The park is clean and well-maintained. Water is available year-round here, but you'll need to supply your own waste baggies. The park has separate areas for small and large dogs, as well as some agility equipment where your pooch can train, play, or just strut his stuff. The trees in this grassy park provide shade for those hot summer days, too. Don't fur-get to bring Fido's favorite toy!

Walsingham Park
In this neighborhood, which is situated in northern Seminole, you'll find another dog park called Walsingham Dog Park. The great thing about this park is that it includes three separate areas, two of which are for large pups, with another for small breeds. With a view over the Walsingham Lake and six-foot tall fences, this place is a paradise for your pooch! If you don’t like the fenced area, feel free to tackle the six miles of trail outside it. Your pup needs to be leashed on the trails, though. Water and waste bags are provided at the dog park, so no need to bring anything except for lots of energy.

Fort Desoto
One of the perks of living in Florida is the beautiful hot weather and the magnificent beaches. If you're looking for a beach to take your dog to, we recommend that you check out the Fort De Soto Dog Beach Park. The beach is located around 18 miles away from the center of Seminole, on the Fort De Soto Parks’ Islands. If you want some leash-free beach fun, head to the The Paw Playground area, where your dog is allowed off-leash! There are two fenced areas here where your pup can play: one for small and one for large dogs. Drinking water is available, but bring your own clean-up bags.

Picnic Island
Another beach in the vicinity that you can check out is the Picnic Island Beach Dog Park. The beach is located around 20 miles away from Seminole, on Picnic Island, and you can get there from the Old Tampa Bay. Dogs are allowed to play and swim off-leash here. There is a partially fenced area on the beach for more safety. If you decide to play there, be aware of the rocky ground in the water, and look out for your pup's paws. The beach has shade and benches for the human visitors as well. Waste baggies are supplied, but you'll need to bring your own drinking water.

Honeymoon Island
You and your hound will fall head over paws for Honeymoon Island, just 23 miles from Seminole. Here, you'll find a dog-friendly beach called Honeymoon Island State Park Dog Beach. This beautiful, sandy beach has crystal-clear water that's perfect for dipping a toe or paw in. Even though dogs have to be on-leash at all times, that doesn’t stop them from playing and swimming in the gentle waves. There is also a nature trail around the beach where you can walk your dog. Waste bags are available here in addition to trash stations, but make sure you bring enough water.
