Bettendorf Center is a neighborhood on the southside of Bettendorf, located on the shore of the Mississippi River. Right on the river is a park called Leach Park, a riverfront area with scenic views of the river and open spaces for pups and humans to run freely on. There are 2 picnic shelters, with covered picnic tables, paved walkways, a fishing and boat dock, boat launch, restrooms, water fountains, clean-up stations, and a playground. The McManus Park is in this neighborhood, and has a private open area that is surrounded by trees for privacy and shade. The park has recreational fields, enclosed basketball courts, a shaded trail, benches, and water fountains. Dogs must be on a leash inside both parks.36

Southern Bettendorf
Southern Bettendorf is a neighborhood close to the center of town, offering suburban neighborhoods and small businesses. In the community is a park called Edgewood Park, which provides a baseball diamond, extra open space, shaded sitting areas, a tennis court, and a playground. The quiet area is perfect for a place to run around and play fetch, with additional features like water fountains and benches. The Sunny Crest Park is on the southern side of the neighborhood and although smaller, offers a not-as-popular place to take Fido for a walk, with amenities like picnic tables, a pavilion, playground, water fountains, and parking.24

Riverdale
Riverdale is the largest neighborhood in the city, located along the Mississippi River, and made up of large factories and residential homes. On the river is a small area known as Pigeon Creek Park that provides the perfect place for outdoor pups to get some exercise. There are nature trails that wind through the park and pass through the thicker vegetation, creating access to the river and Pigeon Creek for fishing opportunities. The west end of the park has a developed section with some open space, picnic tables, water fountains, and trash bins. The best part about this park is that dogs do not need to be on a leash!12

Surrey Heights
Surrey Heights is a residential neighborhood with rows of homes and busy streets. Friendship Park has plenty of things to keep you and Fido busy for the afternoon. There's also a playground and volleyball court, with water fountains, benches, and trash bins. McLamarrah Park is another park in the community and is completely untouched, providing a natural walking experience for humans and pups, with maintained nature trails that follow along Pigeon Creek.
