Hi! My name is Tori and I live in Indianapolis. Growing up I had a beagle/australian shepherd mix named Pepper and she was an amazing dog. She lived to be 18years old. Now I have a beautiful husky named Lana that keeps me on my toes. I have dog sat for family and friends many times with many different types of dogs. I also grew up in a family that everyone had a dog or worked with dogs on a regular bases. I love all breeds and can't wait to meet your pup(s).

Bettendorf is on the north side of the Mississippi River, right against the border of Iowa and Illinois. The city has become first for many things, like having the first modern-day riverboat casinos. The thing that will really stand out to you, though, is the amount of dog-friendly parks and shops in the area.
Crow Creek Park is a huge park in the city, with plenty of space for multiple activities for you and your pup to enjoy. Dogs must be on a leash, but can enjoy over 2 miles of paved trails that wind through the park, with access to two picnic pavilions, 7 enclosed baseball diamonds, a fishing pond, and a dog park! The dog park has 7 acres of fenced-in land for pups to play off-leash, with separate areas for large and small dogs, dog-sized water fountains, double-gated entrances, clean-up stations, and benches.
Middle Park is another dog-friendly park in the city, with over 50 acres of open space for your pup to run around in. Leashed pups are always welcome in the park and can explore the two enclosed baseball courts, walk around the fishing pond, play fetch in the grassy fields, or just relax under a tree on a bench. There are water fountains, trash bins, and clean-up stations at this park.
There are plenty of other parks to go to in the town, like Hollow View Park, Wessel Park, and Lincoln Park. With so many options and 7 veterinarians, it's no wonder you and your pup will love Bettendorf so much!
Bettendorf Center is a neighborhood on the southside of Bettendorf, located on the shore of the Mississippi River. Right on the river is a park called Leach Park, a riverfront area with scenic views of the river and open spaces for pups and humans to run freely on. There are 2 picnic shelters, with covered picnic tables, paved walkways, a fishing and boat dock, boat launch, restrooms, water fountains, clean-up stations, and a playground. The McManus Park is in this neighborhood, and has a private open area that is surrounded by trees for privacy and shade. The park has recreational fields, enclosed basketball courts, a shaded trail, benches, and water fountains. Dogs must be on a leash inside both parks.
Southern Bettendorf is a neighborhood close to the center of town, offering suburban neighborhoods and small businesses. In the community is a park called Edgewood Park, which provides a baseball diamond, extra open space, shaded sitting areas, a tennis court, and a playground. The quiet area is perfect for a place to run around and play fetch, with additional features like water fountains and benches. The Sunny Crest Park is on the southern side of the neighborhood and although smaller, offers a not-as-popular place to take Fido for a walk, with amenities like picnic tables, a pavilion, playground, water fountains, and parking.
Riverdale is the largest neighborhood in the city, located along the Mississippi River, and made up of large factories and residential homes. On the river is a small area known as Pigeon Creek Park that provides the perfect place for outdoor pups to get some exercise. There are nature trails that wind through the park and pass through the thicker vegetation, creating access to the river and Pigeon Creek for fishing opportunities. The west end of the park has a developed section with some open space, picnic tables, water fountains, and trash bins. The best part about this park is that dogs do not need to be on a leash!
Surrey Heights is a residential neighborhood with rows of homes and busy streets. Friendship Park has plenty of things to keep you and Fido busy for the afternoon. There is an open space for your leashed pup to run around in and play fetch, a trail that encircles the park, and scattered trees that offer shaded areas to sit down and relax. There's also a playground and volleyball court, with water fountains, benches, and trash bins. McLamarrah Park is another park in the community and is completely untouched, providing a natural walking experience for humans and pups, with maintained nature trails that follow along Pigeon Creek. Don't forget to bring some water and clean-up bags.
Parklane is a gorgeous neighborhood taken up by the three largest parks in town. The most popular of the parks for neighborhood residents is the Veterans Memorial Park, thanks to its quiet atmosphere and plentiful recreational activities available like fishing, baseball, soccer, play on the playground, and hiking. Dogs are welcome in the park while on a leash and can enjoy additional space in the open areas to run around and play, with access to water fountains, clean-up bags, benches, nighttime lights, and trash bins. The community also has a dog-friendly restaurant called the Azteca Mexican Restaurant that offers outdoor dog-friendly seating, delicious Mexican meals, and complimentary water bowls for Fido.
