You will find Riverwalk Dog Park on the western bank of the Des Moines River, conveniently set between Illinois Street and West River Drive. This is a decent, free, and pet-friendly location with off-leash policies and plenty of room to let your buddy run and romp. This fenced park has some grass, agility equipment, and plenty of friendly locals, especially in the evening. The only downside is that the park lacks shade and water.
