A pawsome place to head with your pooch in Clarinda is Stargazing Park! Here there is a sniff-tastic walking path that you can follow for a leisurely stroll, with grass for your canine. There are also some puptastic amenities here that you can use, such as a tennis court and playground for the kids. Just be sure to bring some water for your panting pup. For dog friendly accommodations when you are in Clarinda, stay at the Celebrity Inn. Here you can bring two pups to stay weighing up to 25 lbs, and there are no additional fees to pay!

Just eight miles east from Clarinda, you will find the pawsome puptown of New Market! Here you can visit Windmill Lake County Park with your furry friend for some exercise out in the fresh air. This is a puptastic place where you can retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy views of Windmill Lake. There are sniff-tastic walking paths that you can follow to stretch your and your canine’s legs, as well as plenty of grass for your doggo. There are picnic tables here where you can enjoy a treat in the sunshine, and a playground to keep the kids entertained.

For an adventure day with your furry friend, head around 12 miles from Clarinda to Braddyville! Here you will find the puptastic Ross Park and Recreation Area where you can go exploring with your pooch. There is over 133 acres of land here, which includes some sniff-tastic trails that you can follow through the woods and around the lakes. In addition, there is the oppawtunity to fish here and go boating on the water. Since bikes and horses can use the trails at Ross Park and Recreation Area, it may be best to keep your beloved companion on leash during your visit.

Just 18 miles from Clarinda, you will reach the puptastic puptown of Shenandoah! Here you can bring your pup for some exercise at Waubonsie Park when the weather is nice. There is lots of green grass that your canine will love to play fetch on, as well as a sniff-tastic nature trail next to the Fourmile Creek. There is also a baseball field and playground for the kids. While there is some trees here for shade, be sure to bring some fresh water and treats for your beloved companion so he can keep his energy high when it is sunny!
