Family friendly and peaceful, the Summerfield at Taft Hill neighborhood is great for Fido. Taft Park is centrally located, and features a playground and 25 acres of wide-open spaces where pups can play. The woodland area is fun if your pooch likes to sniff out wildlife, and you can enjoy strolling along the Waterhouse Pond to admire the view. Be sure to bring your own doggie waste bags and water bottles. If you and Fido are hungry, head over to The Burger Grille, where you can sit at one of the outdoor tables with your pup and enjoy a burger or buffalo wings.

Douglas/ West Uxbridge

Douglas/ West Uxbridge

Strolling with your pup through this neighborhood will bring you to Hale Swamp and the wetlands around the area. You can walk with your pooch along the trails to view the birds and wildlife. Bring a blanket and picnic basket, and enjoy some kibble with Fido. Remember to bring doggie waste bags, and your own water and bowl.  If you are looking for a great place to stay overnight, check into Quaker Inn & Conference Center where your pup can stay for a small fee. All rooms are pet-friendly, and there is plenty of grassy outdoor areas where your pooch can have a snifftastic time.

In the North Uxbridge neighborhood, the Linwood Playground is a great place for two and four-legged children. While the kids play on the equipment, you can walk Fido around the open area and let him socialize with other dogs. You will need to keep your pooch on a leash and bring your own doggie waste bags. After some exercise, take a break at The Cupcake Girl restaurant. The outdoor tables are perfect for a quick snack, and you can even treat Fido to pupcakes topped with a dog biscuit!  Your pup will have a furtastic time at the cupcake shop.

Canines and their parents can enjoy a walk around the park in the Mendon neighborhood. Meadowbrook Uplands Park is pup friendly and offers space to run around and sniff the plants and trees. Fido will be able to socialize with other dogs, or relax and get a cool drink of water. When the family needs a good meal, George’s Surf and Turf provides several pup-friendly picnic tables. You can enjoy seafood for dinner and a banana split for dessert while your pooch lounges under the table and chews on his favorite toy.

West Hill Park is just one of the key features of the Whitinsville neighborhood. The park covers over 567 acres and allows your pooch to wander among the trees and the plants. Not only can you and Fido walk along the trails and admire the calm waters, the kids can swim at the beach or climb on the playground equipment. If you are planning a playdate with Fido’s friends, reserve one of the shelters where you can sit and relax in the shade and enjoy a cool drink. You can watch the wildlife and let your pup sniff around the edge of the water, but be aware that swimming is not allowed. Make sure to bring your own doggie waste bags and water bottles.
