Westgate
Westgate is located in the northern part of Comstock Park and is a friendly neighborhood welcoming plenty of families to the area. The area is known for its walkability, which is great for pet parents living in an apartment or without backyards. The nearby park, Westgate Neighborhood Park, is a local favorite and welcomes canine residents for a quick stroll, so long as pets remain safely on a leash no longer than six feet. Westgate is easily accessible from the rest of the city, as it is pressed against SR 37, which connects to the interstate just south of Comstock Park.36

York Creek
Thinking of relocating to the area? There are plenty of dog-friendly apartments available in York Creek, so Fido will have plenty of furry neighbors to befriend. Named for the small river in the area, York Creek is in the busier part of town, which is perfect for younger pet parents who like to stay within walking distance of necessities. Less then 15 minutes away from Comstock Park, Fulton Heights is a great place to visit for a day trip as it is home to the Hillcrest Dog Park. The locals and residents from nearby areas in Grand Rapids frequent this bark park. It is located alongside the Fuller Park, so you can bring the whole family to hang out and play!
