Gregory
Does your dog bark at the chance to go on an outdoor adventure? Then right in the center of town is where you and your pooch will want to be! In and around Gregory, you'll find multiple trailheads for the Lakelands Trail. The entire trail spans over 26 miles, but you and Fido can take on a few miles of the rail-trail that runs through Gregory. The trail has different surfaces, including asphalt, ballast, and crushed stone, so your dog might need doggie booties if he has sensitive paws. The trail runs through Lakelands State Park and the Pickney Recreation Area with beautiful views of lakes, trees, and wildlife!

Dexter-Pinckney Rd
Pinckney, MI is just a skip and a hop away from Gregory -- only an 11-minute drive, to be exact! Head for the Dexter-Pinckney Road area of Pinckney to find Arise Church Dog Park. This 2-acre, fenced-in play area is a great place for dogs of all sizes to play, socialize, and exercise. If your dog wants views of the river, head just a little further south to find Hudson Mills Metropark, which is a 1,540-acre park set on the Huron River. You and Fido can visit this park, too -- as long as your buddy stays on a leash.

Gregory State Wildlife Area
Does your dog love to watch the wild birds, or maybe even chase a duck every once in a while? Of course he does! You and your pooch can do all that and so much more at Gregory State Wildlife Area. This nature preserve is 2,687 acres of pure land that make up the natural habitats of pheasants, turkeys, mallard ducks, and deer. Walking your dog in Gregory Wildlife Area will feel like stepping into a scene from a nature documentary! The best time to visit is the spring and summer before the snow gets too deep.

Does your dog need a wide-open space to play, swim, and exercise? If this is the case, then there's no doubt about it — your Fido will love living the North Lake neighborhood. Here, he can visit the Paw Run Dog Park, which is pawsitively heaven for a dog. The park is an 18-acre fenced area fitted out with a swimming pond and an agility yard!
