Ash/Lansing
Puptastic parks are found in the Ash/Lansing neighborhood, in the city of Mason. Hayes Park is the city’s largest, offering year-round fun with tennis and b-ball courts and open spaces to enjoy romping with pup on an extended leash. Ride down the sledding hill in the winter! Restrooms are on-site. Or try Bicentennial Park, home of the historic Pink Schoolhouse with its nice benches to just sit and enjoy your pawtastic friend. And the 7 acres of Laylin Park is perfect for fishing on their two stocked ponds. Throw in your line and relax! It’s the perfect place to enjoy a picnic.

Mason City Center
The Mason City Center neighborhood, in the city of Mason, offers you and your pawtastic pup a wonderful place to enjoy the day! Grab Fido and his leash and head to the Hayhoe Riverwalk, which meanders throughout the city and along Sycamore Creek. This beautiful trail runs for 2.5 miles and is perfect for all pup-abilities as it is mostly flat and is paved for easy footing. It’s best to keep your pup on leash as this is a multi-use trail. There are benches along the way, but there are no designated drinking fountains so bring plenty of bottled water.

M36/Sunshine Valley
The M36/Sunshine Valley neighborhood, in the city of Mason, southwest of Williamston, is home to Rayner Park. This 60-acre park offers something for everyone and every pup! There are numerous nature trails throughout a wooded area, which provides perfect shade on a hot summer day. There are also sports fields, a sand volleyball court, and a giant playground with a sandy, playing area. This is the perfect place to fish in their three ponds. If that is not enough, how about playing Frisbee golf? Take some burgers to flip on their provided BBQ grills. Keep your pup on leash here!

Perry
In the city of Perry, just north of Williamston, there are two great parks, just waiting for a day’s outing with you and your fur-ever friend! Jubilee Park, although small, has many of those larger park amenities such as a playground for the kids, horseshoe pits, shuffleboard courts, and a new walking trail. This trail is perfect for you to take Fido on and has a number of exercise stations along the way to keep yourself in tip-top shape! Veterans’ Memorial Park offers sports fields and a great winter sledding hill. Restrooms and picnic tables are available on-site at both parks.

Fowlerville Village
Head to Fowlerville Community Park, in the town of Fowlerville, east of Williamston, to spend a nice, tranquil day. This is a great little park where you and Fifi can stroll along the paved walking paths on all flat terrain, so it is perfect for those elderly pups! Along the paths are scattered comfortable benches to sit and read a book or watch the passerby’s. There is also a running track, playgrounds for the kids, and sports fields. In the winter, this is the place to be! There is a huge sledding hill where even your pawtastic friend can participate!
