Hunter's Orchard Park, sitting at the northern extreme of Waverly, is a wonderful lush park with hiking trails and plenty of room to explore and sniff! The area has no designated dog park, but there’s enough green grass to wallow in and sand to dig up! The neighborhood is the perfect place to stretch your legs before traveling farther in Michigan, or just having a mindful walk near the water. Everett Park is a large, open space to explore with your leashed Fido. However, if you want more wildlife and walking trails, Scott Woods Park will suit better. Keep your buddy on their leash when kayaking down the river, exploring the trails, and watching out for wildlife like white-tailed deer.

After wandering here with your leashed pup, have some off-leash fun in Northern Tail Dog Park, one of few dog parks in Michigan. Located across from Abbot Road Park and behind an aquatic center, this pet-friendly enclosure has plenty of space to run and play with other mutts, toss a Frisbee, or just relax in the shade.

This large green area is home to multiple playgrounds and sports fields, as well as picnic and play areas. Pooches are welcome but should stay on-leash.
