This newly created park is located 20 miles south of Mulliken in the Charlotte neighborhood of Island Highway and Hartel Road. It spans over 400 acres and features a large lake. Let your pooch commune with nature as you follow the three mile path around the lake. If you have a super adventurous buddy, paddle around the lake in a kayak. Be sure to keep Fido leashed and bring some water. After a trip to this park, he’ll be ready for a nap.

Cochran Ave/ Shepard St

The Cochran Avenue and Shepard Street neighborhood of nearby Charlotte has some pawsome parks. Head 20 miles south of Mulliken and let your dog discover some new territory. Lincoln Park sprawls over 19 acres and has plenty of grass for sniffing. Follow your leashed pup as her nose goes to work. This park also has a skate park and disc golf course. For a change of scenery, check out the nearby Bennett Park. This 117 acre park has paved trails that wind through a heavily wooded area. Battle Creek River cuts through the park, and the southern section is known as Veterans Memorial park. Your canine companion will have a fetching good time exploring the trails in this park.

Jefferson St/ Franklin St

Fitzgerald Park is located in the Jefferson Street and Franklin Street neighborhood of Grand Ledge. Located just seven miles east of Mulliken, this park is not to be missed. Giant ledges of ancient sedimentary rock outcroppings provide a dramatic backdrop for the park’s amenities. Leash up your pup and meander through the three miles of nature trails.
