This neighborhood is home to Lightning Bend Park, a great place to take your dog for an on-leash walk. This 100-acre park features numerous natural surface trails where you can go for strolls with your dog. These trails take you through a picturesque forest that’s filled with native trees. As you go along the trail, you’ll also get beautiful views of the Flat River. The park also has scenic pavilions where you can enjoy a snack with your dog while taking in views of the forest. Bring water and doggy bags with you, and have a pawsitively amazing time exploring this park.

Park Street
If you’re looking for another fun place to walk your pup in Belding, head to Central Riverside Park. This five-acre park is home to a paved path where you can take your pup for on-leash walks. As you go along the path, you’ll pass by tennis courts, basketball courts, and groves of trees. You’ll also get stunning views of the Flat River as you’re walking. If you get hungry, there are two picnic shelters where you can enjoy lunch with your dog. Located about 28 miles from Belding, this off-leash park includes separate areas for large and small dogs to play in. Both sections offer shaded areas where your dog can get a break from the sun. Seasonal water fountains are also available in the dog park. If you’re hungry after the park, bring your pup with you to That Early Bird. Grab a table on their dog-friendly outdoor patio, and enjoy unique breakfast and lunch dishes that feature flavors from around the world, including Vietnamese egg rice, rojo posole, tsukemen ramen, and much more.

When you’re in West Grand, don’t make the faux paw of missing Covell Dog Park. This dog park is 32 miles from Belding, and it has a one-acre fenced-in field where dogs can play and make friends with other local pups.
