Faribault City Center
Every pup needs his or her daily exercise, and there is no better place to enjoy some fresh air than at Trail’s Edge Park! This is a pawsome wooded area where you can go exploring with your pooch that joins up with the sniff-tastic Straight River Trail. There is access down to the river, and you will find some benches here where you can chill out and relax. If you follow the Straight River Trail with your pup, you will reach the Two Rivers Park! Here there is more woodlands you can wander through with your furry friend, with the trees providing a lot of shade on hot days.

Lyndale Ave N/ 7th St NW
For a run around with your pooch, head to Kinder Park when you are in Faribault! This is a pawsome neighborhood park where there is plenty of grass for rolling and roaming, as well as trees to provide shade when it is hot outside. There is also a furrific playground for the kids here, as well as picnic tables and benches. If you are looking for comfortable accommodation when you are in Faribault, check in to the Days Inn. Here you can stay with two furry friends of any size and there is only a small additional fee to pay per night. You can also enjoy a dog friendly room at Americas Best Value Inn where you are welcome to bring two pups of any size for a small additional fee per pet and per night.

If your pup has been a good boy or girl, then you have got to take a trip to the Dairy Queen! Here your furry friend can get his or her paws into a special Pup Cup, which is made with vanilla ice cream. Plus, you can dig into your own hotdog, burger or fries and sit at one of the outdoor tables with your beloved companion. For a good night’s sleep, you can stay at the Regency Inn and Suites. Here you are welcome to bring up to three canines of any size and there is only a small additional fee charge per night of your stay.

When you are in Faribault with your canine, be sure to head to Teepee Tonka Park! This is a pawsome place for pooches since there is lots of green grass and trees to investigate. There are puptastic amenities here, including baseball fields and you can also explore the sniff-tastic Teepee Tonka Trail here that goes for miles across town and through wooded areas. Another furrific place is the Spring Greenway Park. Here there is open space for playing fetch, and you can go for a leisurely stroll on the City of Faribault Trail that winds through this green spot in town.
Nerstrand
If you and your pup love to go exploring, head on over to Nerstrand and join the Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail! This is a pawsome 39 mile trail that you can follow with your furry friend to stretch your legs and enjoy some exercise in the fresh air. This old rail trail ventures through some beautiful places, such as farmlands, wooded areas and alongside lakes, such as Wells Lake and Sakatah Lake. Since bikes can use the Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail too, it may be best to keep your beloved companion on his or her leash when exploring here.
