Jackson is a vibrant and furiendly city located in Cape Girardeau County, Missouri. Founded in 1814, Jackson enjoys many visitors each year. One of the highlights of the city is the tribute to the St. Louis, Iron Mountain and Southern Railway. This was a historic railroad used during the 19th and 20th century, which has been made into a modern short line for tourists. For dog owners, there are four veterinary clinics and animal hospitals in Jackson, with more located in surrounding areas.

For a place to take a walk with your pooch, head to Brookside Park. This is a pawsome spot that has been around since 1994, where there are annual ceremonies held for war veterans. There is a pavilion here so you can chill out, as well as restroom facilities and a playground for the kids.

Here you can escape the hustle and bustle of city life! Pups can join you here, as long as they remain on leash. There is a breed restriction, such as on Pit Bulls, Dobermans and Rottweilers, so it best to check before staying here.
