Hi there! I have owned animals, especially dogs, all of my life and have worked with dogs in professional boarding/daycare/grooming for the last 3 years. I have experience in handling feeding schedules and medications via orally or injected, if necessary. I have my own pooch who has some health issues so having patience is a necessity! Looking forward to taking care of your best friend, too!
“Loving on your dog when you’re not able to!”
I have been pet sitting/dog walking for over seven years and have been doing it full time for more than a year. I grew up with labs at home and hold a special place for them in my heart. I love animals and love to spend time with them. Currently I am learning obedience training so that I can better serve my clients. I have puppy fever and hope that getting the opportunity to take care of your little friend will hold me over till my husband and I can afford one of our own.

Dog Walking in Metropolis
Mutt-ropolis is a furtastic city not only for its super heroes, but for its super doggoes, too! Venture outside with Fido for a wooftacular time exploring the grand Fort Massac State Park in Metropolis. Famed for being Illinois' first State Park, Fort Massac offers residents and travelers alike to dive into the rich history of the region. Take Fido for an educative stroll around the park to read the informative plaques and tour around the preserved replica of the fort (doggoes not allowed inside buildings or visitors center). Lots of hiking trails and pawpular camping spots are open to the public, but it's best to reserve in advance. Before leaving, make sure to walk alongside the majestic Ohio River flowing past the park.
When in Metropolis, you and Fido will need to stay overnight in order to check off your super list of things to do and see. For that, reserve a pup-friendly room at the Holiday Inn Express Metropolis located at the northern edge of Fort Massac.
Lois Lane and Superman are waiting for your visit to Mutt-ropolis!
Best Dog Neighborhoods in Metropolis
Visit the Metropolis Downtown district to immerse yourself in the center of Superman city. After some fun photos with Fido at the huge Superman Statue in the center, check-in to Harrah's Metropolis Casino for a barktastic sleeping (or gambling) experience while in Metropolis. Pups of any breed up to 50 lbs are welcome to lodge with you for an extra fee per night. Harrah's Metropolis offers its furry guests a special doggy bag upon arrival, which includes a mat for food/water bowls, no grain doggie treats, and poop waste bags. Call the canine concierge to reserve a "Pet Stay" room, which is available for check-in after 4pm.
If you want to stretch your paws while in Metropolis, wag to the Metropolis Riverfront neighborhood to enjoy a handful of small parks. The Dorothy Miller Park is a pawpular retreat for folks wanting some peace and quiet. Take Fido for a walk around the paved path as you take in the scenic Ohio River or rest and relax on one of the park benches lining the riverside. If you want to play a game of go fetch, head to the nearby Lincoln Park. This grassy block of land features a small soccer field, separate children's playground, public restrooms and tennis courts for you and Fido to enjoy.
Metropolis is a stone's throw away from neighboring Kentucky, so after you visit Superman's hometown, head to Paducah in Kentucky. A short 15-minute drive will land you in the Tender Touxh neighborhood, where Fido will have a ball making furiends with the regulars at the local Paducah Dog Park. Two sections divide up the park based on weight of over/under 35 lbs. Water spigots are available on either side with special motion detectors for when a pup approaches to drink, and both entrances are equipped with degradable baggies for your pup's waste. To top it off, large shelters are on both sides to accommodate hoomans while the pups roam and play!
Traveling or staying in the area for a weekend? Then you and Fido will want to make a pit-stop at the hotel-mania Fairfield neighborhood in Paducah to rest weary paws and feet. Check-in at the clean and friendly Drury Inn Paducah for a pawtastic stay! Two pups are allowed per night for an additional fee as long as they are crated or leashed while outside of the room. If the Drury Inn is booked full, no need to worry; just next door is another pup-friendly option. The Days Inn Paducah welcomes two pups of any size to join you for a small fee per pup, per stay. Customers must call ahead prior to booking to reserve a pet-friendly room. Both the Drury Inn and Days Inn are pawtastic accomodation choices when staying in the Metropolis or Paducah area!
Hungry for some grub? Then leash up Fido and visit the bustling Lower Town neighborhood in Paducah (located on the opposite side of the Ohio River from Metropolis). First up, grab a delicious plate of wings, burgers, crab cakes and more at JP's Bar & Grill. Truly a dog-owners paradise, this restaurant is super pet-friendly and invites your pup to dine with you in their pawsome garden courtyard with a lovely fountain centerpiece. What more can a pup ask for? Come back to Lower Town for dinner to enjoy Paducah's award-winning Porterhouse Steak only available at Doe's Eat Place. Dig your canine's into this bad boy at one of Doe's four outdoor tables. Bone appétit!
