Kaiser
The Lake of Ozarks State Park is the perfect place to spend a nice afternoon out with your dog. The park offers swimming, camping, boating, and lantern-lit cave tours. The park sits right along the Lake of the Ozarks, perfect if your four-legged pup loves water. The park also has five different trails running through it including the Bluesteam Knoll Trail which is a great trail for everyone since it is only 0.80-miles long. The park also offers longer trails if you and Fido want a more challenging walk. Located in Kaiser and only four miles out from Lake Ozark, your dog will love this park.36
South Camdenton
Your dog will have an amazing time out at the Ha Ha Tonka State Park. The park features caves, a huge natural bridge, and Missouri's 12th largest spring. The park offers an area where you can have a picnic or fish, as well as swimming and boating. Take a hike along the Turkey Pen Hollow Trail which is a 6.5-mile trail that will take you through the Ha Ha Tonka Oak Woodlands on a loop route. While hiking, you will come across a stream where Fido can cool down. Located in Camdenton, and sixteen miles out from Lake Ozarks, your dog will love exploring this park with you.24
Climax Springs
The Fiery Fork Conservation Area is a relaxing park that you can spend the day in with your pup. The park is covered in trees to help provide shade and offers picnic tables to enjoy a meal at with your dog. The Little Niangua River runs through the park where Fido can splash around and cool down. Take advantage of the packed dirt walking path that goes throughout the park and get a good walk in with your furry pal. This pawtastic spot is located in Climax Springs, and only twenty miles out of Lake Ozarks.12
Lake of the Ozarks
Take a hike through the Mansfield Forest State Wildlife Management Area with your furry pal. This lovely park sits along the Lake of the Ozarks and is a great area to use for a walk with Fido. While hiking, you will be covered in shade from the plethora of trees, and there is a packed dirt trail that you can follow throughout the park. Make sure your dog stays on a leash while you are out exploring this great area, which is located in Osage Beach and only three miles out from Lake Ozarks. Grab Fido and go on an adventure through the Saline Valley State Wildlife Area. This park sits along the Osage River and is a great area to get a hike in with your dog by your side. The park offers 5,000-acres that you can hike with your dog and has a small camping area if the two of you want to stay the night. There is a packed dirt trail throughout the park that offers a 5-mile trail that your dog will have a great time walking along.
