In the village of Mackenzie, located about 3 miles north of Wilbur Park, you and Fido can access the River des Peres Greenway for some outdoor recreation. This paved trail stretches for 7.6 miles from the metrolink station in Shrewsbury Lansdown to Lemay and Carondelet Parks. With flat and gently sloping areas on the pathway, you’ll be able to walk or jog with your four-footed pal to get some fresh air and exercise. Head about five miles west from Wilbur Park to the city of Crestwood to give your four-footed friend some pawesome of outdoor experiences. This fur-iendly city has seven community parks where you and Fido can stretch your legs together. Try out one of the area’s two largest facilities, Whitecliff Park or Crestwood Park, to find acres of green space and walking trails that you can explore with your pooch. Walk along Bottom Lands Trail by the banks of Gravois Creek with your furry friend. This trail links with Grants Trail, an 8-mile paved pathway that runs through the county. Dogs are permitted in the park and on the trail as long as they are on a leash up to six feet long and you pick up after them.
