This was my first experience with Wag and Emily hit it out of the park! I felt so comforted by her daily texts and pictures of Elvis. He can be a nervous nelly but it was evident Emily made him feel at home. I was also thankful she walked him and he was played with a lot. He even enjoyed car rides with her during his stay. The Mississippi Petrified Forest is a nature preserve that offers beautiful nature trails throughout the forest of these ancient trees. Dogs are welcome here on leash to join in the fun! There is also a museum and a gift shop on-site. Wildlife displays are featured on your self-guided tour of the forest. There is dedicated picnic area where you are encouraged to bring lunch to share with your fur-ever friend. A small entrance fee is charged.

Lovett

The historic Lovett neighborhood has a beautiful park just waiting for you and your pawtastic pup. At the Northside Park, there is a scenic walking trail around the perimeter of the park, just perfect for any pup-ability! Within the park, you will find a number of multi-purpose fields where your pup can stretch his legs while on an extended leash. There is also a walking track, a playground for the kiddies, and basketball courts where you can shoot some hoops while Fido looks on. Take a picnic and enjoy the shade of the pavilions.

Green Acres

Lakeside Park, in the Green Acres neighborhood, has a lot of grassy, open space where you can enjoy time with your fur-ever friend. Enjoy walking by the lake in the center of the park, or just sit on its many benches throughout to relax. How about taking a book to read, or just spend some quality time playing with your pup on leash? When you both get hungry, there are two options for dining with your pup. Try the Wingstop Restaurant or Newk’s Eatery to enjoy a meal at their outdoor dog-friendly tables.

Eastside/Northside Drive

The Eastside/Northside Drive neighborhood, in the city of Clinton, offers Traceway Park, which has over 160 acres. This park features lots of open space to enjoy relaxing or wandering around, as well as three walking paths. Take the 1.15-mile route for a longer stroll with your fur-ever friend, or the ¼ mile path for those less athletic pups. There is also a ¼ mile track for running or walking. This park is the site of national tournaments in the sports world for soccer, softball and baseball. For a smaller adventure, head to the Kids Towne Park with its playground, sports courts and a short walking path.

McRaven

In the McRaven neighborhood you will find Brighton Park. This is the perfect place for the sports fan, with tennis, volleyball, and shuffleboard courts, and three horseshoe pits. There is also a disc golf course for you and your pawtastic pup to enjoy. For those who like to walk, take the ½ mile trail around the park, and don’t forget to stop at the 10-station, outdoor designated exercise area with tons of equipment for all skill levels to workout. This is a great place to enjoy lunch with your fur-ever friend at the picnic pavilions.
