Horn Lake, Mississippi is a family-friendly city that prides itself on being the greenest city in the county. With fifteen different parks to play in, there is always something to do outside when the weather is nice. With three vets and four groomers, you can be sure that you will always have someone to ask for pet advice. 

If you want to come and learn a little about the history, you could check out three of historic homes in the city. One of the is the Circle G Ranch, which was once owned by Elvis! You can't take your pup inside, but they do have some trails around the area. There is also Gayoso Farms that has its own history to showcase. Your dog is welcome to join you on outside tours, but isn't allowed inside. 

Wooten Park is another barktastic place to spend the day with your pup. You will both enjoy the paved walking trails that are located throughout the park. You can come and play in the park with your children, too! There are picnic tables and restrooms that are open all day. If your timing is right, you can even catch a game of baseball! Your pup is more than welcome to join you as long as he stays on a leash. You can walk the trails for as long as you want to. There is also a huge playground for your little humans to run and climb, too! Bring a bat and ball and play a game of baseball, or a skateboard for some added fun. If you want, you could even pack a picnic and enjoy a family meal outside in the fresh air.     Greg Maxey Park is the place to go to get some exercise. You can bring your dog to walk the paved trails through the wooded areas as long as he is on a leash. You will need to bring water and a bowl for your pup because there is not any running water here. The goal is simply to get everyone more active and give them a safe place to do so. The dog park, which covers almost two acres, is completely fenced in with a double gate system to ensure the safety of all the pups. There are water stations, fully stocked cleaning stations, and agility equipment. The best part? It's only eighteen miles from you! This park is part of the larger Overton Park, which your pup will need to be on a leash to explore with you.

    Just 24 miles from you is Forgey Dog Park. This dog park provides your pup with the perfect op-paw-tunity to get off her leash to just run and play. The automatic water dishes are sure to delight your pup, and the cleaning stations will delight you! In order to play here, you will have to watch a fast-paced 30-minute video to make sure that you understand the rules and responsibilities. There is a fee to play here as well. That's just to make sure that you and everyone else will always have exactly what they need while they are enjoying the facilities.

    Olive Branch City Park is only twelve miles from Horn Lake. It is a great place for the whole family to come and have a great day. You can explore the extensive walking trails with your pup as long as you remember to bring their leash. There is a huge playground for you and your kids to enjoy. Bring your fishing poles and enjoy some fishing on the lake, or grab some seed and feed the ducks. There is so much to do here that your whole family will be begging to come back. You should pack some water, but there is a restroom with running water here as well.
