East Saucier
Just fifteen minutes east of the center of town, the POW Camp Recreation Area is a puptacular destination for you and Fido. You can walk around the lake and admire the views or enjoy some primitive camping. Your pooch will enjoy sniffing the plants or rolling around in the grass while you fish or just enjoy the fresh air. The quiet area is perfect if you need to get away and enjoy some time with Fido. If you travel about five miles farther east, you will find the Bethel OHV Trail used by ATV and dirt bike riders. You can also spend time walking along the trails with your pooch, just be sure to keep Fido on a leash.

Palmer Creek
Seven minutes south of the center of town, Fido and the family can enjoy a staycation at The Country Side RV Park. The park is well maintained and features clean restrooms and a laundry room. You can walk through the campground with your pup on a leash and the kids can play in the swimming pool. Another option when looking for a place to camp is the Big Biloxi Campground just minutes south of Country Side. These campsites are surrounded by trees and there is easy access to a half mile hiking trail. You and your pup can walk around the campground and visit Fido’s furry friends, just be sure to keep him on a leash and bring your own doggie waste bags.

County Farm
The County Farm Soccer Complex is pup-friendly and you can spend time in the grassy areas while your kids enjoy playing soccer. There is plenty of space to walk with your pooch on a leash and get some exercise while the kids play. There is a small playground where you can sit on a bench and enjoy a bottle of water and when games are in session, and a small concession stand for snacks. The grounds are well maintained, so be sure to bring your doggie waste bags and let Fido run around and enjoy a snifftastic time in the grass.

Orange Grove
About fifteen miles south of Saucier, Campgrounds of the South is located in the town of Gulfport and is a pooch-friendly destination. The campground offers both tent and camper sites and the owners are friendly and helpful. You can walk through the area and chat with your camping neighbors and their furry family members or hang out by the fire pit and roast some marshmallows. The quiet and peaceful atmosphere is great for relaxing and spending quality time with your family and the paved walkways make it easy to give Fido some exercise during the day or even at night.
Magnolia Grove
If you are visiting friends at the Naval Construction Battalion Center in Gulfport, be sure to take Fido to the Seabee Dog Park. The park offers separate sections for big dogs and smaller pups and is fenced and shaded. There is a water spigot to fill up a bowl for your pooch after he’s been running around getting his exercise. The park outside the dog park is a great place for kids to run off some energy and enjoy the outdoors. There is a golf chipping area in addition to a recreation center where you can enjoy a picnic with your friends and their furry companions.
