Here your pooch can take a dip in the warm water and have the oppawtunity to experience white sand beneath his paws. Be sure to bring some water and treats to Waveland Beach since there is not a lot of shade, and of course, don’t forget your furry friend’s favorite toys to play fetch on the sand! All pooches are welcome and can be top dog here, as long as they remain on their leash. At the Pier, you can enjoy a rest on one of the benches, as well as have the oppawtunity to fish.

Bay/ Waveland Ave

When you are in Waveland, be sure to set some time aside to take your furry friend to the park for some fun. Here you can visit Elwood Memorial Park, where there is plenty of green grass for your pooch to roll and roam, as well as trees to investigate! There are also other features at Elwood Memorial Park that you can enjoy with all the family, including baseball fields, a tennis court, basketball court and a playground for the kids. On a hot day, be sure to bring some fresh water and treats to keep your four-legged friend’s energy high!

Bay St. Louis City Center

Just next door to Waveland to the east is the town of Bay St Louis, which offers some furrific spots for you and your beloved companion. If you like seafood, you will love 220 North Beach. Here you can choose from a range of delicious meals, including crab cakes, shrimp, fried catfish and much more. There are also other dishes you can choose from, such as steak and burgers. What’s more, the outdoor seating area boasts great views of the water and your pooch is welcome to join you. Another puptastic place in Bay St Louis is The Blind Tiger. This beach bar always has a great atmosphere and serves up pawsome food, such as burgers, sandwiches and tacos. Your furry friend will enjoy watching the world go by at the outdoor tables with you!

Shoreline Park

Next door to Waveland, you will find Bay St Louis, home to the Larroux Park. This area is a great place for letting your pooch roam off leash since it is all fenced safely in. Your furry friend is sure to love running and roaming on the grass! In addition, there is a playground for the kids and a basketball court, as well as benches and picnic tables for enjoying a treat. For some pawsome food, drop into the Mockingbird Café where you can enjoy tasty dishes, such as waffles and omelettes or burgers and sandwiches; the choice is yours! Your pooch will enjoy sitting out at the shaded tables while you eat.

Pass Christian

For a pawsome day trip with your furry friend, head nine miles east of Waveland to Pass Christian! This puptown is home to the furrific War Memorial Park, where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll with your pooch. Wander around the monument dedicated to the armed forces to read the plaques, and take a break on one of the benches and enjoy nature with your pup. If you get hungry, head to Shaggy’s Pass Harbor for a bite to eat. Here you can tuck into some delicious seafood dishes and your pup is welcome out on the deck tables.
