Head on over to Ocean Springs Beach if you and your dog are looking for some pawsome beach fun. All dogs are required to stay on leash while at the beach, and owners are urged to clean up after their pups. After some beach adventuring, grab a bite to eat at one of the many dog friendly restaurants that Ocean Springs has to offer, including Greenhouse on Porter which has amazing biscuits, or Eat Drink Love which offers breakfast and brunch options, sandwiches, and salads. Gulf Islands
If you and your pooch are looking for an outdoorsy adventure, head out to the Gulf Island National Seashore for a fun day of adventuring, or a few days of camping. This large and extensive preserve is located along the Gulf of Mexico, and includes mainland areas and parts of seven barrier islands of Florida and Mississippi. While your dog is visiting the Gulf Island, he must remain on a leash that is no longer than 6 feet long. Your dog is allowed on all the walking and hiking trails that the Gulf Island National Seashore has to offer. Certain campgrounds allow you to tie your dog to a post, so long as it doesn’t bother other campers.13
