There are more than 17 miles of trails in Chickasabogue Park, and you can choose from paved or rugged trails, and there are hilly or flat options, too. Along your trail walk, you might come across deer or other wildlife, and these trails are popular with mountain bikers, too. Chickasabogue Park also has a dog-friendly campground, so it's a good place to bring the whole family for a vacation.

Julien Marx Dog Park is surrounded by a tall fence, and it has a double-gated entry system so you can take comfort in knowing your dog won't escape the park. Some visitors note that not only do a lot of dogs visit this park, but it also happens to be a popular spot for squirrels, too.

This dog park opened in 2016 after volunteers and donors worked very hard to make it happen. Danielle Juzan Dog Park doesn't separate dogs by size; rather, dogs of all sizes and breeds play together in the same space, but there is plenty of room for everyone! This park is close to downtown, and it also features water, waste disposal items, seating, and trees. It's also near the Oakleigh Garden District, which is a lovely place to go for a walk on a leash after your time at the dog park.

This park was created to honor those who work in the public safety industries, including police and firefighters. The Public Safety Memorial Dog Park includes big and small dog sections, and there are doggy water fountains as well as shaded seating areas where humans can relax and watch their pets play.
