I have owned dogs my whole life and have also been involved in dog fostering and rescue. I am a college graduate that has worked the same job in the service industry for the past 17 years. Lately I have realized that walking my own dogs is the best part of my day; so I have decided to try and be a dog walker full time! If you love what you do you'll never work a day in your life!

Prichard is a city in Mobile County, Alabama that more than 22,000 people call their home. With its proximity to Mobile and other prominent cities and towns in Alabama, you're never far from all the amenities a big city offers, but you'll still get to enjoy the charm of a smaller city when you live in Prichard. There are three municipal parks in Prichard, as well as good schools, convenient transport routes, and great job opportunities. While Prichard may not have an off-leash dog park, it is just a short drive away from several, and there are pawesome trails in town where you can take your dog for a walk on a leash.
Chickasabogue Park is a 1,100-acre recreational area in Mobile County that's an outdoor paradise for dogs and humans alike! There are more than 17 miles of trails in Chickasabogue Park, and you can choose from paved or rugged trails, and there are hilly or flat options, too. Along your trail walk, you might come across deer or other wildlife, and these trails are popular with mountain bikers, too. Prichard and the surrounding areas have so much to offer you and your furry companions!
The southwestern Mobile neighborhood of Claremont is 12 miles from Prichard, and it's also home to the Julien Marx Dog Park! This four-acre bark park is a paradise for big and small dogs who can play in separate sections with dogs of similar sizes. There are also water fountains and waste disposal stations throughout the park. Julien Marx Dog Park is surrounded by a tall fence, and it has a double-gated entry system so you can take comfort in knowing your dog won't escape the park. Some visitors note that not only do a lot of dogs visit this park, but it also happens to be a popular spot for squirrels, too.
The Danielle Juzan Dog Park is only ten minutes south of Prichard, in the central Mobile neighborhood of Washington Square. This dog park opened in 2016 after volunteers and donors worked very hard to make it happen. Danielle Juzan Dog Park doesn't separate dogs by size; rather, dogs of all sizes and breeds play together in the same space, but there is plenty of room for everyone! This park is close to downtown, and it also features water, waste disposal items, seating, and trees. It's also near the Oakleigh Garden District, which is a lovely place to go for a walk on a leash after your time at the dog park.
The Public Safety Memorial Park in the central Mobile neighborhood of Carlen is just a ten-minute drive from Prichard. This park was created to honor those who work in the public safety industries, including police and firefighters. Not only does this park have playgrounds, a skate park, pavilions, and lots of green space, but it also has an off-leash dog park! The Public Safety Memorial Dog Park includes big and small dog sections, and there are doggy water fountains as well as shaded seating areas where humans can relax and watch their pets play. Your dog is welcome in other areas of the park if they're on a leash.
Daphne is a city in Alabama that's about 20 miles southeast of Prichard. In the southeastern quadrant of the city sits a dog park called the Daphne Dog Park. This dog park is located in a larger park known as the Al Trione Sports Complex, which has sports fields, a pool, and other recreational activities. The dog park isn't a particularly large one, but there's still plenty of room for dogs to have fun! There are big and small dog sections at the park, and there are portable restrooms for humans, as well as water fountains for doggies and their owners.
Fairhope is a charming city of around 20,000 people in southwest Alabama. It takes less than half an hour to get there from Prichard, and in the central area of the city, you'll find the Fairhope Dog Park. This spacious dog park includes sections for large dog breeds, as well as a section for the little guys. There are often kiddie pools set up around the park where pups can splash and keep cool, and there are hoses and water bowls available as well. There are waste removal supplies at your disposal in the park, and your dog will love exploring the wooded areas and open fields in the park.
