Dauphin Island
No trip to Dauphin Island is complete without a visit to Dauphin Island Beach! This is one of the best places to come when the sun is out, and your pup is able to experience the sand between his paws and the sea breeze through his fur! There is a large bit of the beach that is specially open for dogs and their owners to play, as long as pooches remain on leash. This is a popular spot, and you can socialize and make new furry friends here too! Since there isn’t much shade at the beach, be sure to bring some fresh water and treats to keep your pup’s energy high!

Fort Morgan/ Cedar Grove
If you jump on the ferry over to this Gulf Shores neighborhood from Dauphin Island, you can explore new territories with your furry friend. While the trip is 40 minutes, you can enjoy some pawsome views of the shore. Once you arrive, head to the Village Hideaway for some delicious food and relaxing surroundings. You can choose from a tasty menu, including pizza, burgers, wraps and tacos, as well as sit back at one of the dog furiendly outdoor tables. Your pooch will love the chance to lay down and watch the world go by! Don't forget to take a trip to Fort Morgan's Beach while you are in town. From the Old Fort Morgan Pier to Old Fisherman's Wharf, your pup can enjoy the sand, sea and sun while on leash. Be sure to bring some water when it's hot!

Gulf Shores City Center
If you fancy an adventure with your pup, why not jump on the ferry over to Gulf Shores? Here your pooch can join you on board as you see birds and sea life on your journey. Once you are there, you can drive to the city center in Gulf Shores for some delicious food when your stomach is growling. This includes Bill’s By the Beach, where you can tuck into burgers, crab cakes, tacos and pasta, only to name a few dishes! Locals and visitors love this place for its dog furiendly atmosphere; your pup can sit with you on the outside patio and servers are known to bring treats and water for their very own dish!

Only 14 miles north of Dauphin Island, you will find the puptown of Theodore. This is a puptastic place to visit for some tasty grub with your furry friend. In particular, if you like seafood then you have got to get your paws into some food at the Pelican Reef Restaurant! This is a pawsome place located just off the bay, with a delicious menu to choose from, as well as beer and wine. There are lots of dog friendly tables where your pooch is welcome to join you for dinner. This place is always furiendly, with live music and karaoke at the weekends!
Coden
If you fancy a day out in the sun, you can drive 16 miles northwest of Dauphin Island to Coden. Here you will find the pawsome, Rolston Park! Enjoy a leisurely stroll with your pooch, with plenty of grass for playing fetch with a Frisbee or favorite toy. To chill out, there are covered picnic tables to enjoy a treat, as well as a basketball court and playground for the kids. What a puptastic day out for all the family! Don’t furget to bring some tasty treats and cold water for your furry friend; it can get pretty hot out here on a summer’s day!
