Dog Areas in Loxley

Loxley is a small town in Baldwin County, Alabama with a population of just over 2,000 people. The town is conveniently located off Interstate 10, so it has become a favorite place to live for people who commute to bigger cities like Mobile, Alabama and Pensacola, Florida. Loxley got its name after a man named John Loxley, who established a lumber camp in the area in 1870, and it was eventually incorporated in 1957. Loxley has a slow, leisurely pace combined with all the amenities a city needs, which makes it an ideal place to raise a family.

Although Loxley is a small town, it has two town parks that are prime spots for family gatherings, sports, just relaxing, or walking your dog. The largest of these parks is called the Loxley Municipal Park, and in addition to three state-of-the-art baseball fields, it also has a half-mile walking trail, three covered pavilions, a horseshoe pit, and beautiful landscaping. Your dog can join you at this park for a stroll if they're wearing their leash. The two of you can wander along the walking path and take in the hundreds of pine trees that overlook it. In addition to this beautiful park, there are several off-leash dog parks just a short drive from Loxley.
