If you drive 25 miles south of Loxley to central Gulf Shores, Alabama, you'll arrive at the Gulf Shores Dog Park. This off-leash park has big and small dog sections, so your little dog will be able to play with pups of his own size. Gulf Shores Dog Park is fully enclosed with a tall chain link fence. There are water fountains, seating, and waste disposal supplies for dogs in the park, and a friendly group of visitors who frequent the park. Central Gulf Shores is also home to several established neighborhoods with beautiful, mature trees, and it's close to golf courses and other recreational facilities in Gulf Shores.

Shelby Lakes

There's another pawesome dog park in Gulf Shores that's just 32 miles from Loxley. The Shelby Lakes Dog Park is in southeast Gulf Shores, on the Shelby Lakes in the Gulf State Park. This beautiful, lakefront off-leash park is a breathtaking spot to let your dog get some off-leash fun in, and it includes separate areas for big and small dogs. After undergoing recent renovations, the Shelby Lakes Dog Park now has all sorts of colorful and exciting agility equipment so your dog can show off her unique skills. There are seating areas, waste disposal supplies, shade, and drinking water available at this dog park, and your dog is also welcome to swim in the lake, too!

East Orange Beach

The city of Orange Beach, Alabama is about 30 miles south of Loxley, and eastern Orange Beach is where you and your pooch will find the Unleashed in Orange Beach Dog Park! This 0.75-acre dog park has big and small dog sections, as well as agility training areas with a variety of obstacles for your dog to play with. Not only are there plenty of seating areas and shaded spots, but there are also adorable fire hydrants hooked up to hoses for dogs to drink from. If you forget to bring your own doggy bags, no worries because the park provides those too!

Claremont

A little more than 30 miles west of Loxley lies the Julien Marx Dog Park in western Mobile, Alabama. It's located in the community of Claremont, and it's a four-acre off-leash park with two spacious areas for big and small dogs to run and play. The fences surrounding the park are tall to prevent dogs from jumping out, and there's also a double-gated entry system as an added safety measure. There are water fountains for humans and canines in Julien Marx Dog Park, and there's seating along the park perimeter, too. The park provides doggy bags, and there are several tennis balls for your dog to chase as well! What more could you pawssibly want?

Stratford Glen

There's an off-leash dog park less than 10 miles from Loxley, and it's also in Baldwin County. Southeastern Daphne, Alabama is where you'll find the Daphne Dog Park. This dog park is clean and well-maintained, and it includes different areas for big and small dogs. There are water fountains, waste disposal supplies, seating, and restrooms at Daphne Dog Park. Visitors love that the regulars at the park are so friendly and welcoming to newcomers. The dog park is part of Al Trione Sports Complex, which includes sports fields and concession stands. Your dog can join you throughout other areas of Al Trione if they're on a leash.
