Saraland is a beautiful Alabama town with tons to offer dogs and their owners. This town has numerous parks that welcome dogs, delicious dog-friendly restaurants, and two veterinary clinics to keep your dog happy and healthy. If you want to go on a fun day trip with your dog, Mobile is just 12 miles away.

If you’re looking for a great place to take your dog for an on-leash hike, try Blakeley State Park. This park is 25 miles from Saraland, and it has 12 miles of trails to explore. If you’d like to take a short stroll around a beautiful pond, try the Beaver Pond Trail. Or, if you’d like to go on a trek through picturesque wetlands, hop on the Old Apalachee Trail. No matter which trail you choose, you and your dog are sure to have fun here!

Langan Park is another furrific place to take your dog for an on-leash walk. This park is 13 miles from Saraland, and it has a paved walking path that takes you around a scenic lake and by the Mobile Museum of Art. This neighborhood is home to Amelia Park, a great place to take your dog for an on-leash walk. This city park has a paved walking trail that takes you past the park’s playground and sports fields. The trail also passes by a historic tank. Bring doggy bags and water for your pup, and have fun walking here! If you want to get a bite to eat after the park, head to Wintzells Oyster House. When you’re in Parkhill, you won’t want to miss Mobile Botanical Gardens. Located 14 miles from Saraland, this lovely botanical garden allows dogs on-leash. While you’re here, you and your dog can go for a stroll on the park’s woodland trail. You can also wander around cultivated gardens filled with native plants, and you can walk through a unique longleaf forest. If you want a pick-me-up after the garden, head to Carpe Diem Coffee & Tea. This dog park is 27.5 miles from Saraland, and it features two separate areas: one for large dogs and one for small dogs. Both areas have lots of space for dogs to run and play, and they’re filled with trees that keep the park shady and cool.
