The trail also passes by a historic tank. Bring doggy bags and water for your pup, and have fun walking here! If you want to get a bite to eat after the park, head to Wintzells Oyster House. Sit at one of their dog-friendly outdoor tables, and enjoy their oysters on the half-shell, Cajun-inspired seafood dishes, red beans and rice, and po’boys. Bone Appetit!

When you’re in Parkhill, you won’t want to miss Mobile Botanical Gardens. Located 14 miles from Saraland, this lovely botanical garden allows dogs on-leash. While you’re here, you and your dog can go for a stroll on the park’s woodland trail. You can also wander around cultivated gardens filled with native plants, and you can walk through a unique longleaf forest. If you want a pick-me-up after the garden, head to Carpe Diem Coffee & Tea. This café allows leashed dogs to accompany their humans at the outdoor tables, and they serve tasty hot and cold coffee drinks, pastries, sandwiches, and homemade desserts.

If you’re searching for a pawesome off-leash area for your dog, check out Fairhope Dog Park. This dog park is 27.5 miles from Saraland, and it features two separate areas: one for large dogs and one for small dogs. Both areas have lots of space for dogs to run and play, and they’re filled with trees that keep the park shady and cool. This 1,327-acre park is 17 miles from Saraland, and it has two nature trails and a boardwalk to explore with your dog. Both the trails and the boardwalk offer stunning views of the Mobile Delta. You and your dog will both have a pawsitively amazing time hiking here! After the park, continue your fun day out with lunch at Ed’s Seafood Shed.
