As a pet parent myself, I know how stressful leaving your pets can be and having someone you trust can make you feel at ease. I currently work part-time at a local Veterinary Hospital and have years of animal care experience in professional and personal environments. I started out working in a small pet shop in my late teens, and that is when I knew I wanted to work with animals. Since, I have worked in a public aquarium, pet supply retail, vet clinics and a no-kill animal shelter. These experiences have given me a wealth of knowledge to provide the very best care for all animals. I have fostered puppies, tiny kittens, senior dogs and cats. I have rescued and rehabbed many reptiles and birds. I am also in school to obtain my canine training certification. I would love the opportunity to help you and your pet feel comfy while you're away. I will try to work with any budget!

Hello, I'm Kian! I have experience working with dogs of all ages and sizes, from a 3 pound Yorkie to a 150 pound Great Dane! It always makes my day when I get to meet new dogs and learn their personalities. From my own three dogs and working in a doggie daycare, I definitely understand how each pup is an individual. I have always been a dog lover - so much so that I became a certified dog trainer! I will always treat your pup with the utmost love and care and look forward to working with you.

New Orleans is close to an hour drive from Reggio, but with everything that it has to offer you and your dog, it is definitely worth the trip. You may even want to make a weekend of it when you see the list of things to do. First, there is the Ghost City Tours. You can catch a family-friendly event and have your kid tag along in the stroller, or catch an adult-only tour later at night. Either way, you will want to keep your dog on the leash just so they don’t get scared by all the things that go bump in the night.
If you aren’t into chasing ghosts but do want to see the history of the area, take your dog on over to Jean Lafitte National Historic Park and Preserve. You can talk a walk through the visitor’s center or even explore the battlefield. There is so much to do and see here that you could easily spend the whole day. Dogs aren’t allowed everywhere, but as long as your dog is on a leash, there is a lot open to you both. The whole preserve has the feeling of walking through history. It makes the hour drive worth it.
The whole French Quarter is extremely fur-friendly. During Mardi Gras, you will find entire parades dedicated to Fido, and even some parades that encourage your best fur-iend to participate in the parades! As long as your dog stays on a leash, you can take him from storefront to storefront to sample everything from goofy hats to tasty treats. You will even find that there are many streetside tables at local bars to sit, rest, and enjoy a drink or two. There is no better place to come and watch the crowds. It is an hour trip from Reggio, yet it is a whole new world.
If you find, while on your weekend getaway, that you need a good dog park, head over to Wisner Dog Park. This is a good-sized dog run that has a fenced-in perimeter. It is one big area that allows Fido to run and play with other fur friends. There is not a separate area for smaller dogs. While you are here, you will find plenty of water fountains to make sure you have cool, fresh water. If Fido happens to get muddy, just wash him down in the bathing area before getting back in the car. No one likes muddy pawprints!
Since you are an hour from home, and there is so much to see and do, you may decide to stay over. Hotel Indigo in the New Orleans Garden District may just be the perfect place to stay with your dog. They have all the creature comforts of home that your dog is looking for. It is also right in the middle of everything so that you don’t miss out of any of the excitement. New Orleans is already the perfect getaway for you and your dog, and this hotel only heightens the experience. They are so pet-friendly that your pup will feel right at home every time that he comes in.
