Beach Blvd
Waveland is a barkvelous place to bring your Fido for on-leash walks along miles and miles of dog-friendly beaches. The city is located about an hour from Chalmette, but the drive is well worth it. Hancock County Beaches are set right in between of Garfield Ladner Pier on the west side and the Catholic Church on the east side. Your pup will love splashing in shallow water, digging holes and finding treasures in the white sand. Locals say that there are not so many people between January and February, so if you don’t want to battle for a better spot on the beach, grab a leash and pack your Frisbee. There’s also a pet-friendly eatery right across the street called Dunk’s Southern Style Buffet & Catering. You should definitely come by and share some local cuisine with your pup after a long day of playing in the sand!

There are a few pet-friendly cafés in the area that will be happy to welcome you and your canine friend.
