As a young college student I started pet sitting for my neighbors. I was pet sitting for 10 years already when a dear friend started a pet sitting service on the north shore; he asked me if I’d be interested in working for his sitting service, and I was thrilled. I began working as a professional pet sitter in 2002 and I can’t remember a more rewarding job. It's an honor to have been gifted with a career in pet sitting. I absolutely love caring for pets; they always have a special way of making each day more memorable.

“I’ve walked and caredfor over 500 dogs as a walker”

Ive spent most of my life caring for dogs. My first dog was a boxer that I had for 15 years. I used to also breed Neapolitan Mastiffs with my brother who is a dog trainer and competes in dog shows. They are huge dogs and a lot of responsibility which taught me patience and love for dogs. I’ve spent the last 2 years in New York walking and caring for over 500 different dogs. I’ve trained puppies and older dogs. I look forward to walking your dog and can assure you he is in good hands. Thank you!

“Big or small, I’ll walk ‘em all!”

Hi! I am a teacher, rugby player, and animal lover. I'm an active person, eager to get up and get out of the house every day. I sadly have no dog of my own. I didn't think it would be fair to a dog to bring it into my life just yet since a person's early 20's are full of uncertainty and unrest. That being said though, I love dogs more than any thing, and I can't wait to meet yours. Fun Fact: my Patronus is a corgi.

Dog Walking in Harvey

Harvey is a large community of about 23,000 residents located on the west bank of the Mississippi River. Just south of New Orleans, this district has over fifty veterinarians within a five-mile radius and countless activities for pups and their parents to enjoy -- including rafting, kayaking, and exploring the nearby French Quarter.

Some of the most popular destinations near Harvey are the dog parks. Wisner Dog Park, snuggled in between baseball fields and basketball courts, is home to a small, fenced dog run. Crescent Park, a robust twenty acres, is also home to a fenced dog run and offers unparalleled views of the Mississippi. Coliseum Square, home to a dog park in nearby NOLA, boasts a beautiful center fountain, a dog-friendly water bubbler, and complimentary doggie bags.

Harvey is home to nearly a dozen dog-friendly restaurants, including options for Chinese, American, Tex-Mex, Cajun, and Vietnamese cuisine. For a more unconventional meal, swing by Parrot Pete’s on Manhattan Blvd. They serve breakfast favorites all day, and their outdoor patio is pup-friendly.

Harvey’s close proximity to The Big Easy makes it the perfect place for pups and their parents. With a variety of pup-friendly restaurants and parks nearby, this bustling community is far enough from the city to avoid the crowds but close enough to enjoy the amenities. Puptastic!

This restaurant is located at 1901 Manhattan Blvd. Sonic Drive-In, located at 955 Manhattan Boulevard, is good for a quick hot dog or burger with your furry friend. Covington is 40 miles north of Harvey. This sleepy little Louisiana town has quaint shops and is home to Pretty Acres Dog Park. Pretty Acres is located at 301 S. Orchard Lane. This Dog Park is a flat and grassy fenced field for dogs to run, run, and run. This Dog Park has a picnic table in the middle of the dog park, but there is no shade to be found. Dogs don’t mind, though. A few kiddie pools give dogs a chance to splash and cool down. Waste bags are supplied at the park. A walking path around the perimeter of the Dog Park gives the two-legged friend a chance to burn a few calories, too.

Gretna is two miles northeast from Harvey. It is another small town surrounded by the very populated New Orleans metropolitan area. Gretna Dog Park located 3253 Claire Avenue has one large grassy fenced area for off leash socialization. This pleasant Dog Park has benches, shade, water, agility equipment and lots of good furry pals to sniff and run with. Dogs seem to get extra muddy after playing at Gretna, but fun doesn’t always have to mean clean. A stop at Poochie Bella’s Pet Grooming on 732 Westbank Expressway will wash all that dirt away, and can style the most fastidious of dogs.
