Generes

Can your dog feel the heritage beneath his paws? If your pupper is extra attuned to the past, he might be a "voo-dog," and he'll definitely love living in the Generes Park neighborhood. In this neighborhood is Lafreniere Park, which was undeveloped land but has since blossomed into a lush space for families. You can take your dog here for some on-leash fun. You can trek the walking paths and trails sprinkled around the park, play frisbee on one of the sporting fields, or lay down a blanket for a nice picnic with Fido!

Elmwood

Does your dog like to be center of attention? Yep, we thought so! Right in the center of town is the Elmwood neighborhood, which is a little further north of the Mississippi River. In this neighborhood, you can find everyone's favorite Mediterranean restaurant — Zoe's Kitchen. At Zoe's, you can get a feast fit for Odysseus and Fido! Try the cauliflower rice bowl or the spinach roll-ups. Across the way, you can find La Madeleine French Bakery and Cafe. At La Madeleine's, you can order exquisite French entrees, like the salmon and French lentils entree, the cranberry and pecan wild field salad, or Pasta La Madeleine. The best part is your dog is more than welcome here!

Lasalle Park

Is your dog eagerly wagging his tail and licking your face in the morning, ready for a walk? You're going to need some coffee before heading out! In the Lasalle Park neighborhood, you'll find Puccino's Cafe. Puccino's serves espresso Italiano and every other type of specialty coffee, as well as omelets, bakery items, and sandwiches. After a good breakfast, you can head over to the Lasalle Park. The Lasalle Park is a gorgeous place to hang with your dog. Fido can sniff out the agrarian garden and outdoor nature boardwalk as you two explore this lovely park!

Garden

Does your dog love breathtaking views of the Mississippi River? Then he'll be excited to know that there's a trailhead for the Mississippi River Trail in the Garden neighborhood. The trail is over 620 miles long, and further down, there is a lot of cyclist traffic. However, the trailhead is a perfect place to walk your dog and enjoy the views! After some healthy trekking, it's time to gorge on some pizza. Head over to Rotolo's Pizzeria for wings, pasta, calzones, and delicious slices! Fido can sit with you outside as you try a slice of Muffuletta Pizza or baked sweet heat wings!
