Greenlawn Terrace

If Fido gets a little hangry, stop into Cafe Du Monde for a tasty bite to eat. Cafe du Monde is a traditional coffee shop that serves beignets and coffee Au Lait. If you and Fido need a little more then coffee, check out the French Press Coffeehouse. This spacious eatery serves traditional coffee favorites like lattes and espressso, plus bubble tea. For food, they offer salads and sandwiches. Laketown Grill is a waterhole that is open all day, everyday. They offer cold drinks and giant burgers that Fido will be dying to get a lick of. All of these great eateries have dog friendly patios and welcome FIdo to dine with you.

Williams Blvd / 38th St

Laketown Park is a beautiful park to let Fido roam around for a great day out. The park offers a nice picnic section where you and your pup can have a great meal, plus a playground, restrooms, fishing pier, boat access, and tons of grass to roll around on. Throughout the park is a huge walking path that your pup will love traveling with you, plus you will get an amazing view of Lake Pontchartrain. Make sure to bring plenty of water and clean-up bags with you to the park, and keep Fido on a leash.

Grandlakes Estates

The Woodlake Park features a gym and playground, plus some green space for Fido to run around. If your pup is in need of a walk, this park is perfect since it offers a nice concrete walking path that takes you throughout the park. The park borders a small creek that Fido can splash around in. The park does occassionally hold little league games, so if your pup isn't a fan of crowds, you may want to consider a different park. Make sure to bring water and clean-up bags with you when you visit, and keep your pup on a leash.

University City

The Wentwood Park offers tons of great doggie amenities, and Fido will be jumping for joy when you take him there. The park features tons of grass for your pup to romp in, a playground, skate park, sports fields, and trees for shade. If Fido is in need of a walk, the park also offers a nice walking path throughout that is surfaced with concrete. The park is open from 10 a.m. until dusk, giving you both more then enough time to enjoy it. Make sure to keep Fido on leash while visiting this community park.

North of Airport

Susan Park is a great spot to take Fido for a nice walk and some bonding time together. The park offers a huge sports field that Fido can run around if there isn't a sports game happening. Besides the field, the park also offers a basketball court, concession stands, a playground, and a nice walking area where you and Fido can get a little exercise in before heading out to your next adventure. If it is a bit hot, the park also has a pavilion where you and your pup can sit and cool down. Your dog needs to stay on leash while you are visiting the park.
