You and Fido would be barking mad to miss NOLA's world-famous French Quarter while you're in Luling. The pawfect combination of appealing architecture and tasty food are just a few of the things this vibrant district has to offer pups and their parents. The best part is that your doggo is allowed to accompany you just about everywhere; many of the stores will even allow your pup inside! This bustling part of town right in the heart of NOLA is often crowded, so make sure your pup can handle being around lots of people, and keep him on a short leash here.

Audubon

While you're in New Orleans, visit The Dog Levee in the Audobon neighborhood. This dog park is located next to the Mississippi River and it's a place where dogs can roam free and swim to their hearts' content. Although, keep in mind that the place is not fenced, so it might not be the best option if you have a runner. If you decide to go here, bring some towels to wipe off those muddy paws. This is the pawfect place to run and play with other pups! Also, if you love picnics, this spot is ideal; your dog can run free while you and your family admire the Mississippi River!

City Park

NOLA City Bark, located in New Orleans City Park, is located around 22 miles away from Luling and it's the premier off-leash dog park of the city. Ruffly 4 acres of landscaped beauty are available to you and your pup, but you'll need to purchase a permit first. Your pooch will surely have a woof-derful time in this park, considering that it offers separate areas for small and large pups and a walking trail! The park also offers water fountains for human and canine visitors, as well as a double-gated entrance system and baggies for cleaning up. Restrooms and shade pavilions are a big plus for the dog owners as well.

Mandeville

If you're in the mood for a little bit of an adventure and you want to go across Lake Pontchartrain with your four-legged friend, visit the Pelican Bark Park in Mandeville. The park is well-maintained, and you can choose one of the two sides for doggies under and over 25 lbs. Kiddie pools are available in the summer, and there are hoses so you can fill them up. Washing stations and water fountains are also provided. There are plenty of doggos there to play with, and the park also has lots of toys. And the best part is that the park is completely free!

Mandeville Lakefront

If you want a chill place where you can relax with your pup and maybe have a swim and play water fetch, you should absolutely visit Waterfront Park. This off-leash park provides plenty of poop bags to keep the shore tidy. This stretch along the beautiful lakeside is a pleasant walk for you and your pup. The place is family-friendly and has plenty of parking, nearby restaurants, and amazing scenic views. Some of the restaurants will allow you to sit on the patios with your pup. There are plenty of doggies there when the weather is good, so it's a nice place for socializing your dog.
