Dog Areas in Eden Isle

Eden Isle is located in St. Tammany Parish and sits on the northeast shore of Lake Pontchartrain.  Before its development, the land was just a marsh with a canal and levee. No doubt pups living in this neighborhood are sure glad the marsh was drained and the community was created.

Eden Isle is a unique neighborhood consisting of fingers of land, canals and waterways. This area is perfect for taking a stroll with Fido and exploring all the nooks and crannies of the community.  Big Marsh National Wildlife Refuge borders Eden Isle on the east and west.  This refuge houses hundreds of species of animals. So pets and people living in the area are treated to prime wildlife viewing.

For folks in Eden Isle, boats are a way of life. Living right on Lake Pontchartrain is a dream for people and dogs alike. But before your furry BFF joins you on the open waters, be sure she is well versed in doggy safety.  You may even want to strap a canine life jacket on her.  No doubt she’ll love an afternoon lounging in the sun on deck while you cast a line. The lake is chock full of a variety of bass, catfish and trout so hopefully you’ll reel in a big one.
