Central Glendive
If your pup is begging for a walk, grab the leash and pay a visit to Lloyd Square Park. As the largest park in Glendive, it is a favorite spot for local pups and people. It has tennis courts, a playground, and the community swimming pool. There is also an open grass area for your pooch to sniff around. Jaycee West Park is on the western banks of the Yellowstone River. With even more room to roam, this park is the perfect place to let your dog stretch their legs. Eyer Park is just across the street. Take a couple laps around the field or just let your pooch scamper through the trees.

South Glendive
Step back in time, like way, way back, with a trip to Makoshika State Park. Your pup can explore the prehistoric badlands that was once home to dinosaurs. As they wander around the unique rock formations and juniper trees, your paleopup will get a feel for how ancient creatures once lived. Follow the half mile long Kinney Coulee Trail through Ponderosa pines into a deep ravine where the area’s pawsome geology is on full display. While there are several trails throughout the park, Diane Gabriel and Cap Rock Trails are most pupular. Before leaving, be sure to check out the Tyrannosaurus Rex and Triceratops fossils.

West Glendive
The neighboring community of West Glendive is home to Hollecker Lake and the adjoining Hollecker Park. Although the lake isn’t very big, it’s a favorite spot for two legged and four legged water lovers. Stop by so your pal can go for a refreshing doggy paddle or fetch a stick from the center of the lake. Bring your fishing pole and cast a line or take your pooch for a walk around the area. Picnic tables are available, and the beautiful scenery makes this a furrific spot to enjoy some lunch with your pal. Don’t forget to swing by the giant Triceratops and take a prehistoric photo with your doggo!

Wibaux
Pack up your pooch and head 25 minutes east to the small town of Wibaux. Not only will your doggo get to see some pawsome terrain from the car window, they’ll get to spend time in a couple new parks. Start your adventure off at Carol Park. This wide open field is a great spot for your furry friend to frolic. Then head over to Wibaux City Park for even more fun in the sun. Your doggo can trot around the open lawn or just chill out under one of the trees. Before heading home, stop by Beaver Creek Brewery for some hearty food and delicious craft beer. Grab a seat on the outdoor patio so your pup can sit by your side.
