Jack Hoeven Park
A pawsome feature in the Jack Hoeven Park neighborhood is the Dakota Bark Park. Spanning over 3-acres, this fenced in park will have your pup romping and socializing with other pups with unleashed fervor. If you have a smaller shy pooch, there is a separate area where he can play without being intimidated by larger dogs. Pup loving neighbors will often plan a play date for the kids and the pooch and bring a picnic lunch to enjoy outside of the dog park. You can sit on benches under the shade trees and watch the pups play and roll around in the grass. The park even provides a water fountain and doggie waste bags! If you need a pooch-friendly place to spend the night, check out Souris Valley Suites where two pets can stay for an additional fee.

Rosehill
Finding interesting pup-friendly activities the whole family will enjoy is not always easy. If you are planning to spend time in the Rosehill neighborhood, you can take the family on a tour of the Scandinavian Heritage Park. Throughout the walking paths, you will see statues and information about several Scandinavian countries. Fido needs to stay on a leash and he is not allowed inside the buildings, but you can plan a picnic lunch at the pavilion and admire the gardens and waterfall while strolling through the grounds. Taking your pooch for his morning walk can also be more fun if you stop by Starbucks first and get a hot cup of coffee for yourself, and a Puppaccino for Fido.

Green Valley Park
Green Valley Park is a small neighborhood park with space for your pooch to run around and a walking path for exercise. After a busy day at work, head over to the park with your pup for some relaxation and fun. The kids can climb on the playground equipment or play a game of basketball on the court. Fido will enjoy sniffing the trees, and you can take a break and sit on one of the shaded benches and drink some cool water. The park is perfect if you are looking for a grassy area to get away from traffic and the city streets. Minot State University
Students and dog-lovers who live around Minot State University are often found strolling with their pooch at the 11th & 11th Park. The large open space features a playground for the kids and horseshoes for the adults. You will need to keep your pup on a leash, but you can walk around the area, or take a break at one of the picnic shelters. Fido will have a snifftastic time rolling in the grass and exploring the trees and plants. When you need a place to spend the night with your pooch, Super 8 and the Grand Hotel are both pet-friendly!

Minot Country Club
The quiet Minot Country Club neighborhood features the Radio City Park where residents often enjoy walking around the paths and admiring the trees and gardens. The kids will enjoy the jungle gym, and there is a splash pad during the summer months. You can plan a picnic lunch at one of the shelters and invite your friends and their furry companions. The restrooms are clean and there are doggie waste stations located throughout the park with doggie waste bags. Fido will have a furtastic time running around at the park enjoying the fresh air. There are several dog-friendly hotels in the area as well. You can take your pooch to the Astoria Hotel & Suites, Microtel Inn and Suites, or Candlewood Suites where dogs are welcome for an additional fee.
