Every pup loves a trip to the park, so be sure to visit Ruger Park when you are in Devils Lake! This is a furrific place for some exercise since there is a sniff-tastic trail that you can wander around, as well as plenty of open green grass. In addition, there are baseball fields and basketball courts here. If you are visiting Devils Lake and need a dog friendly place to stay with your canine, check into the Sunlac Inn. This is a pawsome place where you can bring pooches of any size for no additional fee. How puptastic is that?

Route 2/ 5th Ave S

For some fun in the sun with your beloved companion, head to Southside Park when you are in Devils Lake! Here there is a furrific open green grass area for your canine to run around and expend some energy, as well as a playground for the kids, picnic shelter for some treats and a basketball court. For comfortable accommodation when you are in Devils Lake, stay at the Holiday Inn Express. Here you are welcome to bring two canines of any size and there is no additional fee to pay. In addition, there is the Super 8 where you can bring two furry friends for a small additional fee per night.

Fort Totten

To explore with your furry friend, jump in the car and head 18 miles from Devils Lake to the puptown of Fort Totten! Here you will find the puptastic Sullys Hill National Game Preserve where you can bring your pup for some exercise out in nature and to retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are some sniff-tastic trails you can follow here, with two miles where you can explore the woodlands and wetlands. Keep an eye out for wildlife, which includes deer, prairie dogs, American bison and elk. All pups are welcome, as long as he or she remains on leash during your visit.

Churches Ferry

For an adventure with your furry friend, head 22 miles from Devils Lake to the pawsome puptown of Churches Ferry! This pupastic place is home to the Silver Lake National Wildlife Refuge where you can bring your canine for some exploring in the fresh air. There are some sniff-tastic hiking trails that you can investigate with your pooch and admire the views of Silver Lake. In addition, you can take this oppawtunity to spot some wildilife while you are here. Pups are welcome at Silver Lake National Wildlife Refuge, as long as he or she remains on leash during your visit.

Rugby

For a pawsome road trip with your canine, head on over to the puptown of Rugby from Devils Lake! Here you will find the furrific Dairy Queen where you can dig into some delicious food for lunch and dinner. You can get your paws into a tasty burger, sandwich, hot dog or chicken, as well as choose from a select of puptastic desserts, including a dipped cone and sundae. Of course, if your canine has been a good boy or girl, you can order a special Pup Cup! Since this place is dog friendly, you can chill out at one of the outdoor tables – bone-a-petit!
