Flying Rock Road
This neighborhood is home to Hudson’s one off-leash dog run, Hudson Dog Park at Benson Park. This dog park has separate fenced areas for large and small dogs to play in. Both areas have lots of benches for owners to sit on, and doggy bags are available. After your pup is finished playing, put their leash back on and take them for a stroll on one of Benson Park’s scenic trails. If you want to go on a long trek around the perimeter of the park, try the 2.5-mile Haselton Farm Trail. Or, if you’d like to go on a short stroll around a scenic pond, check out the 0.3-mile Moose Pond Trail. Bring water with you, and have a fun day out at this park!

Naticook Road
If you’re searching for another pawesome off-leash area for your pup, check out Merrimack Dog Park. This park is located about 7.5 miles from Hudson, and it offers two fenced sections: one for large dogs and one for small dogs. Bring tennis balls, water, and doggy bags with you, and have a fun time playing with your pup here. If you want to get a bite to eat after the dog park, head over to Pizzico. This restaurant welcomes dogs at their outdoor tables, and they serve delicious Old World-style Italian dishes. A leash and good behavior are required. Bone Appetit!

Main Street Mills
Main Street Mills is a mixed residential and commercial neighborhood with a great park that welcomes dogs on-leash: Mine Falls Park. Located 3.5 miles from Hudson, this 325-acre park has six trails to explore with your dog. The longest trail is the 2.94-mile Blue Trail, which takes you on a loop around the eastern portion of the park. If you’d like to go on a shorter trek, try the 1.40-mile Red Trail, which goes around Mill Pond. Or, you can go on the 0.83-mile Yellow Trail, which takes you along the Nashua Power Canal. Bring water for your pup, and have a great time hiking through this park.

Peppermint Corner
When you’re in Peppermint Corner, you won’t want to miss Derry Dog Park. Located 11 miles from Hudson, this park has separate large and small dog sections for pups to play in. The park also offers agility equipment, and it has plastic kiddie pools dogs can splash around in on hot days. If all this excitement makes your dog thirsty, water is available. If you want to get a sweet treat after the dog park, head over to Moo’s Place. This ice cream shop sells homemade ice cream in a wide variety of flavors. Dogs are welcome to join you at the ice cream shop’s outdoor tables.

Wallace Road
If you’re looking for another puptastic place to take your dog for an on-leash walk, check out Benedictine Park. This park is 17 miles from Hudson, and it has two trails, both of which are just under a mile long. If you want to trek through open fields, try the Perimeter Trail. Or, if you’d like to hike through the woods, try the Cobb Trail. After your walk, continue your fun day out with lunch at T-Bones Great American Eatery. This all-American restaurant has a doggy menu with items like steak tips, bacon-wrapped cheese, and doggy ice cream. You and your pup can enjoy your meal on the restaurant’s scenic outdoor terrace.
