Hello my name is Jordan. I am a 29 year old from Dracut. My family lost both our dogs recently, it’s been heart breaking. Dog Walking in Litchfield

Bordered on one side by the scenic Merrimack River, the small town of Litchfield is tranquil and relaxing, with a friendly vibe that makes everyone feel welcome. With everything from state forests, conservation areas, and neighborhood parks to explore, this is a town that will definitely get Fido's tail wagging.

One of the largest green areas in Litchfield is the Litchfield State Forest, which stretches out for 330 acres. In addition to all of the natural beauty within this forest, there are also four miles of hiking trails for you and Fido to explore, with the shortest being 0.3 miles, and the longest, known as the Calvin Loop, running for just under a mile.

For even more untouched wilderness, pay a visit to the Litchfield School Conservation Area, which is just under 60 miles in size. There is such a diversity of plant and animal life living here, so make sure to keep your pooch on a lead so as not to disturb any of this.

If your pooch would prefer a more urban dog walk, take a stroll around the Roy Memorial Park, which is located at the heart of Litchfield. This large park is home to several sports facilities, a playground, picnic areas, and the sparkling Darrah Pond, with a walking trail looping its way around it.

With so many pawriffic walks to choose from, you and your pup will never be bored in Litchfield.
