Merrimack Town Center
The highlight for your pup in this neighborhood will no doubt be Wasserman Park, which sprawls out for just over 46 acres. Not only is the park home to a playground, picnic areas, sports facilities and walking trails, but this is also where you will find the Merrimack Dog Park. This fully fenced-off dog park is about three quarters of an acre in size, and is split into two sections, one for smaller dogs and one for larger breeds. The dog park is free for everyone to use, but you will need to bring your own doggie bags and drinking water for your pup.

North Merrimack
North Merrimack is quite a green neighborhood, with a few spacious natural areas for you and your pooch to explore. The largest is the Bradford Woods Open Space, where you will find a mixture of both forested land and grassy fields to roam about in, complete with a few hiking trails. The Pheasant Run I Green Area is also worth a visit. Although this parcel of land may not boast much in terms of scenery, it still features a long stretch of open land that your pup will no doubt love, as well as a few patches of mature trees dotted throughout.

Begin at the Mitchell Drive Town Forest, where you will find an extensive stretch of mature forest for you and Fido to explore. Although there are no marked trails here, there are still several small trails cutting their way through the forest that your pooch will have fun following. If your pup would prefer a shorter walk, head on over to the Pennycook Green – Green Area. This is another forested parcel of land with short walking trails snaking through it, giving you and your pup the chance to experience some native natural beauty.

Start your day at the Indian Rock Open Space, where you will find a sprawling stretch of land featuring both woodlands, fields and walking trails for you and Fido to explore.
