Mountainside
Mountainside is located five miles east of New Providence. Echo Lake Dog Park has three fully fenced acres for your pup to wag some tail under the bright sun and run free of the leash. The property has a natural terrain of grass, dirt, and trees. A separately fenced section of the dog park is reserved for the smaller dogs. A doggie water fountain and bowls keep the pooches hydrated when the sun reaches its zenith. Human companions will appreciate the shaded benches, or they can take refuge seated in the gazebo. The grounds are readily accessible for people who have mobility disabilities.36

West Morristown
Morristown is located nine miles north of New Providence. The Lewis Morris County Park has over 2,000 acres of forest, recreation, and conservation land. A person with a four-legged canine friend can explore this large park and eat a picnic lunch together at one of the many picnic spots. The main park has over twelve miles of designated natural hiking trails which leashed dogs are welcome to explore. Need some off-leash fun? Head to the dog park here! This play area has a separate area for large dogs and another for smaller ones. The surface is paved, which keeps the pups relatively clean even on a rainy day. Water is not immediately available. People can relax on shaded benches as they watch their four-legged pals play.24

Beverwyck
Parsippany is located nineteen miles north of New Providence. Cameron Dog Park has a fully fenced field of grass that grows green and tall in the summer months. The dog park sits on a hillside, and the terrain is uneven in some places. People need to be careful here, but paws barely touch the ground as they fly up the hillside. A section is set aside for the small dogs' safer play. This dog park has drinking water for people and pups. Waste stations are conveniently stocked with doggie waste baggies. A large shade tree dominates the landscape and people relax on the bench beneath it. Registration and a fee must be paid prior to visiting.12

Bellevue Ave
Montclair is located twenty-two miles north of New Providence. Brookdale Dog Park is one of the most pupular dog parks in New Jersey! This completely fenced dog park lets dogs run and socialize sans leash. Small dogs have their own dedicated, safe section to play, too. The ground in this dog park is a gray gravel mulch that only leaves the faintest smudge on the snout. Water for people and pups is within the fenced enclosure. Agility equipment, including ramps, offers an opportunity for some extra training or just some variety in the exercise. Human companions can relax on shaded benches. The dog park provides waste bags.
