Mountainside
Mountainside is five miles north of Plainfield. Echo Lake Dog Park will put some wiggle back into your buddy's backside! This dog park has three acres of fenced land that's just pawfect for your friend's day out with his furry pals. If your buddy is small, there's a place just for him to play. This dog park has all the amenities you'll need, including water, waste stations, and plenty of fresh, countryside air. A human companion can explore the acreage or just sit on one of the many benches while their furry friend sniffs out some new canine companions. You and Fido are sure to have a ball at this furrific park!36

Woodbridge
Woofbridge -- er, Woodbridge -- is just 10 miles from Plainfield. The dogs love running leash-free in the grassy dog park near the Alvin Williams Memorial Park. The field is sectioned off so small dogs can play with friends their own size. This park is one your pup will not want to leave! There are balls to chase and agility equipment to try out or train on. No need to remember the water bottle or doggie bags -- this dog park provides what a person with a pup needs. Shaded benches are a great place for pup parents to rest, and a decorative gazebo is also a shaded gathering spot for the human companions.24

Linden
Linden Dog Park, just 10 miles east of Plainfield, is a great place for a four-legged pal to stretch those paws. Grass cushions those paws in this off-leash dog park. Small dogs have a smaller spot to have some leash-free fun. The field gets muddy after a rain, so beware if you want clean paws in your car for the ride back to Plainfield. There are doggie and people water fountains here, and poop bags are also supplied by the park. Be ready for some exercise at this park! There is no place to escape the summer sun -- this park needs a few amenities to make it more comfortable for the human companions. Shaded seating is absent at this dog park. For some exercise on-leash, head to nearby Memorial Field Park. Exploring the walking paths and picnic areas here is the pawfect way to end the day.12

Morristown
Morristown is a little fur-ther afield at 22 miles away, but the trip is well worth it! Lewis Morris Dog Park gives dogs a fully fenced, paved place for their own leash-free exercise and fun. One area is separated for the small dogs. The paved surface doesn't please everyone, but it makes the dog park usable even after a hard rain The dog park, unfortunately, lacks any places for the people to sit Water is not available in the dog park, but is close by. Poop bags are at hand and in good supply. Outside the dog park, the main park has some beautiful scenery, so don't forget to snap some pics! The main park offers over ten miles of designated trails for on-leash hikes away from the asphalt and into the woods.
