Warren Twp
This neighborhood is home to one of the finest parks in Warren Township, meaning that this is an area you and your pooch will likely keep returning to. The East County Reserve stretches out for 150 acres, and mostly consists of open fields, although parts of it are now under construction to add in more facilities. One of the latest features to be added to the park is a paved multi-use loop trail, which is pawfect for a walk with Fido. If you and Fido are feeling thirsty after all of that walking, stop off at the dog-friendly Smoothie King for a sweet, but healthy pick-me-up.

South Millington
Directly adjacent to Warren Township is South Millington in Millington, and this is where you will find the Passaic River County Park. This park sprawls out for 769 acres, and includes 5000 feet of scenic shoreline for you and Fido to explore. In addition to its waterfront views, this park also boasts sports facilities, fishing areas, an ice skating rink and picnic groves, as well as three hiking trails. Each of these trails are under a mile long, and connect up with each other, making it easy to take on all of them. While dogs are allowed to use this park, a lead, doggie bags and drinking water are essential.

Deer Ridge
The neighborhood of Deer Ridge in Basking Ridge sits right next to Warren Township, and is home to a couple of green spaces that your pooch will love. If the two of you enjoy passive parks with rugged natural beauty, the County Open Space is where to go. This undeveloped parcel of land is heavily wooded, providing plenty of exciting smells to get Fido's tail wagging. Deer Ridge also provides access to Mountain Park, where you will find four sports fields, restrooms, and a paved walking path that loops its way around the park. While dogs are welcome to use this park, you need to keep them on a lead, and make sure that they do not roam onto the turf fields.

Foothill
The Bridgewater neighborhood of Foothill is less than a mile from Warren Township, and is the pawfect spot for a long walk with Fido. The highlight of this neighborhood is that it provides access to the 715 acre Washington Valley Park, which is home to forests, wetland marshes, several historic features, and a 21 acre reservoir. There are over seven miles of hiking trails for you and Fido to explore here, as well as so much wildlife to see. This neighborhood is also home to the Prince Rodgers Park, with its numerous sports facilities and winding paved path. Dogs are welcome in both parks, but do need to be kept on a lead at all times.

Washington Rock
Less than a mile from Warren Township is the neighborhood of Washington Rock in Green Brook, where you will find one of the oldest state parks in all of New Jersey. The 52 acre Washington Rock State Park sits at the top of the first Watchung Mountain, providing a 30 mile panoramic vista over eastern New Jersey, with views all the way up to New York City. The majority of the park consists of dense woodlands and walking trails, with several picnic areas dotted throughout the park, making this a pawsome place to spend the day with Fido. Don't forget to bring a lead, doggie bags and drinking water with you.
