Morristown
Morristown is located seven miles west of Chatham. Lewis Morris Dog Park gives dogs freedom to run and play off-leash. This dog park has a fully fenced enclosure for large dogs and a separately fenced area for small ones. The ground in the dog park is mostly paved. People don't seem to like it much, but tails wag to attest that the dogs don't mind! A few patches of grass and a bevy of trees along the perimeter help give it a more back-to-nature feel. Plenty of benches help make the people feel better about their experience. This dog park does not have water immediately on-site, but the main park's restrooms aren't that far away. The main park also offers twelve miles of beautiful, forested hiking trails for a leashed dog and person to explore together.36

Beverwyck
Parsippany is located sixteen miles north of Chatham. Cameron Dog Park is a permit-only park. Visitors must register with the city before using the dog park. This dog park has large stretches of rolling grass divided into a large and small dog area. This place is pawfect for dogs that just need to let their fur down and just be dogs. A plastic tunnel gives pups something to either nose around or venture through. Drinking water is available on-site, and waste stations are supplied with waste baggies so clean-ups are a snap. This dog park lacks shade and seating for the human companions, but people make sacrifices for their furry family members.24

Upper Montclair
Montclair is located nineteen miles north of Chatham. Brookdale Dog Park has a pack of pals waiting for your pup to join in the fun! This dog park is fully fenced for off-leash playtime. It has a large dog area and a section reserved for the smaller dogs. The surface is a gravel mulch that may put a small smudge on a curious snout but otherwise keeps the paws pretty clean. Ramps and other pieces of agility equipment let dogs squeeze in some training. Shaded benches keep the people from becoming too restless. This dog park has drinking water available on-site. Waste stations make it a breeze to clean up after a pup.
