Riverton

Just a few minutes east of Palmyra, the Riverton Memorial Park offers 12-acres of land to play with your pooch and spend time with the kids. You can walk along the path and admire the gardens while Fido sniffs the trees along the way. The kids will enjoy the playground and your pup can roll around in the well-maintained grass while you relax on a bench with a bottle of water. Plan a picnic near the BBQ grill area and invite your friends and their four-legged family members. You will need to bring your own doggie waste bags, but there are convenient trash receptacles located throughout the park. If you are hungry, stop by Mario and Franks where you can sit at one of the outdoor dog-friendly tables and enjoy an Italian meal.

Downtown

About 10 miles south of Palmyra, Fido will love visiting the Bow Wow Park in Pennsauken! The park features two fenced areas including one for smaller pups and another for large dogs. There is a paved pathway down the side of both areas where you can walk laps while your pooch runs around and socializes with his friends. Fido will have a snifftastic time with all the grass and plants in the park, but you will need to bring your own water bottles. You will also need doggie waste bags, but there are waste stations in the park. After spending time in the dog park, head over to Macaro’s Deli where you can enjoy Italian food on the outdoor patio.

Delanco City Limits

Pennington Park in Delanco is only 7 miles from Palmyra and provides a great place to spend time with your pup. There is a small dog park which is separated for large dogs and small pups. Fido will enjoy running around chasing a ball, or playing on the agility course. You can walk around the pathways and get some exercise or relax in the shaded pavilion. There is a water fountain for your pooch, but you need to bring your own doggie waste bags. Outside the dog park, the kids will enjoy running around the playground and you and Fido can stroll along the nature path and admire the plants and wildlife.

Route 130 / Haines Mill Rd

Just five miles east of Palmyra, pups and their parents can spend time at the Notre Dame Park in Delran. There are several ball fields where you and Fido can play a game of fetch over the park's almost 10 acres. There is plenty of grass where your pooch can run and get some exercise on a sunny day. After spending the afternoon in the park, stop by The Meadows Original Frozen Custard for a cold treat. You can sit at the outdoor tables and try a frozen custard and pup cup for your pooch. If you are looking for a great place for dinner, Dooney’s Irish Pub provides ten pup-friendly tables on the patio where you can enjoy a burger or shepherd’s pie and a drink.

Stanwick Glen

Swedes Run Dog Park will be Fido’s favorite place to play in Moorestown just 15 minutes east of Palmyra. The park features fully fenced areas for both small pups and large dogs where they can run, play and socialize. If your pooch likes to show off – there is agility equipment available where he can learn new tricks. Drinking fountains are perfect to refill your water bowl after Fido has been running around sniffing the trees and grass. The park even provides doggie waste bags so it’s easy to clean up. You can sit on one of the benches and watch your pooch play, and then go out into the main park and walk Fido on his leash along the scenic walking path.
