A local park you have got to visit when you are in Corning is the William Street Park. This is a beautiful spot for a picnic with your pooch, and is located beside the Chemung River. There are some sniff-tastic trails to explore, as well as plenty of open green grass for your furry friend to roll and roam. For a bite to eat, drop into Pudgie’s Pizza for a slice and sit at one of the dog friendly outdoor tables. If you need a place to stay when you are in Corning, you can check in to Staybridge Suites. Here you can enjoy a comfortable stay with two pups weighing up to 80 Ibs for an additional fee. Be sure to arrange your room in advance to avoid disappointment!

This is an open green spot where your pup can enjoy rolling on the grass, as well as playing fetch with their favorite ball or Frisbee. Next door to Corning, you will find the furiendly village of Painted Post, home to the Erwin Hollow State Forest. This 531 acre forest is a pawsome place to hike and explore the sniff-tastic trails throughout the grasslands, wetlands and forested areas. There is plenty of oppawtunity to spot the wildlife that live here, including wild turkey, white-tailed deer and beavers, so be sure to keep your pup on leash. Nearby, is the lovely Kinsella Park, where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll with your furry friend in the open space here.

All pups have to get their exercise; so, what better place to go than the Painted Post Trail! Just as the name suggests, this pawsome trail is located in the village of Painted Post, only three miles northwest of Corning. The Painted Point Trail is around 1.1 miles long and passes through Craig Park where you can enjoy recreational activities, picnic tables and grills. Your pooch will also love to investigate the new scents and sites, as well as roll on the green grass! Be sure to bring some water and treats for your four-legged friend to keep up their energy!
