Phelps
Spend a day out at Redfield Park with your furry pal. This pawsome park has a huge grass area, plus restrooms, a playground, and a gazebo. There is a nice paved walking path that will take you through and around the park for a nice walk. The Methodist Memorial Park is a great park to play a game of fetch with Fido since it has a large grass area, plus benches and a paved walking path. Take a trip out to the Oaks Corners Community Park and enjoy the large field the park has. The park is also filled with benches, a covered picnic area, and restrooms. If Fido is craving a hike, check out the Ontario Pathways Trail which offers 23.3-mile hike on a trail surface of grass, gravel, and cinder. The trail starts in Phelps, and if you hike the entire trail, you will end in Canandaigua. The trail does feature a lake and a waterfall that you and your pup can stop at to cool down.

Clifton Springs
Head out to the West Malcolm Griswold Rotary Park for a fun afternoon with your dog. The park is filled with picnic tables, plenty of trees for shade, and a gazebo. Take advantage of the paved path that goes around the park to take a nice walk with your pup. If Fido is craving a hike, check out the Wheat Road Trailhead. The trail takes you along the Flint Creek where your dog can stop to cool off. This pawsome trail is paved and gives you plenty of shade from the trees. This dogtastic park and trail are in Clifton Springs, and only four miles from Phelps.

Village Center
Halligan Park is a huge park that offers great amenities for you and your pup. The park is filled with swings, a playground, a huge grass area for fetch, and a covered picnic section. There is a small paved walking path around the park, but take to the grass for a longer walk. Elliott Park is a smaller park that has a great paved walking path, picnic tables, and plenty of shade from all the trees. The park sits along the Erie Canal, so you will have a beautiful view while you are visiting. The Newark Central Park is a lovely park that has a paved walking path throughout it, plus benches, a gazebo, and a large grass area for a game of fetch. Located in Newark and seven miles out of Phelps, your pup will love checking these parks out.

W Union St / W Miller St
Head out to Perkins Park to get a good walk in with your dog. The park has amenities that Fido will love, including a playground, pavilion for shade, picnic tables, and a large grass area. A small creek runs through this park, so Fido can splash around and cool down while you are visiting. The Newark Canal Park is a small park on the Erie Canal that offers benches, a paved walking path, and a bridge to cross over the canal if you want to. Part of the Erie Canalway Trail also begins in this park, so if you and Fido want to hike, you can. The trail starts in Buffalo and offers a huge distance of 279.5-miles as it follows the Erie Canal. These pawsome parks are in Newark, and right outside of Phelps, perfect for a small trip with your pup.
West Newark
Spend a nice day out together at the Widewaters Canal Park. The Park sits on the Erie Canal and allows you access to the canal, so you can kayak or canoe. The park also holds picnic tables and a grass area for fetch. There is a crushed stone path along the canal that you and your dog can use for a nice walk while you are out visiting this pawesome park together. Make sure to keep Fido on a leash while you are visiting. Located in Newark, your pup will love leaving Phelps behind to check out this amazing park along the canal.
