City Center
The City Center area of Auburn, New York provides a few fun spots for you and Fido. In addition to some paw-friendly hotels in the neighborhood, you and your pooch can take a trip on the Auburn-Fleming Trail, which is just over 1.5 miles in length. The trail is part of the Rails-to-Trails organization, and stretches through the center of Auburn to give you and your dog some quality outdoor time. If you get some growling bellies, head to Osteria Salina, a pupular Italian restaurant with authentic pizzas, pastas, and other Italian favorites. A little over 32 miles from Auburn is Meadowbrook in Syracuse. This neighborhood is on the eastern end of the city, close to Green Lakes State Park. Here, you can take Fido on a walk through the Erie Canalway Trail, which stretches through almost 300 miles of New York, from Albany to Buffalo. Of course, you’ll want to stick with the local part of the trail, which will take you through parts of the Old Erie Canal State Park and along the beautiful Cedar Bay.
