Lysander
When you’re ready to go on a pawtastic outdoor adventure with your pup, head to the neighborhood of Lysander in Baldwinsville. Take about an 18-mile drive south and east from Hannibal Center to gain access to the Three Rivers Wildlife Management Area. Go hiking with Fido through the 3,607-acre facility and explore the variety of natural habitats. Roam through brush, grasslands, marshy areas, and woodland with your pooch. As long as you keep your special pal under control with a leash and make sure to pick up any messes, your dog is welcome to join you in this expansive outdoor paradise.

Liverpool
Load Fido into the car and head to Liverpool. By taking a 28-mile drive south and east from Hannibal Center, you can treat your furry friend to pawtastic fun and some social time with other canine companions at Wegman’s Good Dog Park. With separate play areas for large and small dogs and a pawesome obstacle course, your special pal will get plenty of exercise. If you want some one-on-one time with your pooch, leash up and take the 5-mile dog walking trail along the water in Onondaga Lake Park. Top off your day with a meal at one of the three nearby restaurants that offer dog-friendly outdoor seating.

Fulton
The Fulton area is just under 10 miles north and east of Hannibal Center. In this community, you’ll find some wonderful outdoor activities to enjoy with your pup. Bring Fido to Foster Park and take a stroll along the Oswego River. For a weekend adventure, take your pup camping at North Bay Campgrounds on the north shore of Lake Neatahwanta. Treat your canine companion to a puptastic adventure by heading about 5 miles south of town to the Great Bear Recreational Trails. Hike through fields and woods along the Oswego River in this outdoor paradise. Make sure to keep your pooch on a leash and to pick up their waste in any of these public areas.

Fair Haven
About 10 miles west of Hannibal Center, you and Fido will find pupcredible outdoor adventure in the community of Fair Haven. Leash up your pup and head to Fair Haven Beach State Park. Roam the trails through the wooded areas or walk along the sandy beach. If you want to spend the weekend, rent a site in one of the campgrounds. There’s a two pet limit per rental, and pups are not permitted in the bathing areas. Dogs are allowed to accompany you in the rest of the park, as long as they’re kept on a leash up to 6 feet long, and that you have proof of rabies vaccination with you.

Phoenix
Located on the Oswego River about 16 miles southeast of Hannibal Center, the community of Phoenix offers some pawesome parks for you and Fido to explore. Bring your pup to Lock Island Park on the historic canal riverway and stroll along the shore of the island. You can also bring a pole and go fishing with your companion at your side. If you want to take a jog with your pooch, head to the track at Phoenix Memorial Park, or run the path surrounding William J. Farley Jr. Community Park. Dogs are allowed in public areas provided they are kept on a leash and that you pick up their messes.
