Carriage Hills

The neighborhood of Carriage Hills is situated right next to one of the biggest and best parks in Penfield. Hipp Brook Preserve is a vast green space offering everything you and your pup could need for a fun day in the fresh air, from open clearings, wildlife to watch, flowers to sniff along the way, and trails to explore. Running through the park is Thousand Acre Brook, a small water flow where your pooch can splash around and play. There are access points to the trails throughout the neighborhood, giving you both ample places to wander and explore, and your well behaved pooch is welcome to walk alongside you off leash.

Brooktree/ Francis/ Oak Hill Terrace

This neighborhood may have a few names, but it is home to one of the best green spaces to bring your pup! Rated as one of the top places to bring your four legged companion for a swim is Spring Lake Park. There is a wide creek with open shores where you and your pup can play in the water. Keep your eyes peeled as you can often spot ducks herel. At Spring Lake Park, you will find clearings where many people take their pooches for a game of fetch and to stretch their legs. The park also features washrooms and sports fields, a playground, and picnic tables for your family’s enjoyment.

Newbury Park

The neighborhood of Newbury Park is a fun place to be if you’re a pup! A large park rests on the East side of the neighborhood, called Veteran’s Memorial Park. This huge park has plenty of space to spend time outdoors with your pup. Watch a game of baseball or play at the park, explore the trails or have lunch at a picnic table. Washrooms are provided for you at this park. Being one of the top places to bring your dog, you will be sure to have fun splashing around Fishing Pond, playing in the creek, or playing a game of fetch.

Skyline Penfield

Skyline Penfield is a large neighborhood, with a very large park situated centrally within its borders! Channing H Philbrick Park is a quaint, beautiful park, with some of the highest ratings for places to walk your four legged friend. The Irondequoit Creek runs right through this park, offering scenic walks along the stream-side trails. With both a secluded and serene vibe, you and your pup can escape the hustle and bustle of regular day-to-day life here. With lots of opportunities to see wildlife, you may want to ensure your pooch is well behaved and/or leashed. A waterfall resides within the park for your enjoyment. Although there are few amenities here, in addition to its photo ops for your posing pup, there are playgrounds, benches, and picnic tables throughout.
