Hillcrest
The Veterans Memorial Playground offers pathways throughout the park to encourage a lively walk with your pup. Check out the Caboose if you enjoy scouting historical artifacts. The large open lawn is a pup-tastic place for a round of Frisbee. Visit the nearby Kercher Park for more outdoor adventure. With plenty of trees, the promise of a sniff-tastic walk will have your pup begging to get going. Your pooch will love to check out the Twin Creek as it flows through the park. Drop by High View Park for a panoramic view of the Twin Creek Valley, including Germantown, Carlisle and Miamisburg, and enjoy the trails and a great leashed walk.

West Miamisburg
Westover Park is just 5 miles from Germantown in Miamisburg, and is a beautiful green space with a variety of flowering and coniferous trees. There are plenty of opportunities for a dog-tastic walk around the grounds and a picnic in the park. Tennis and basketball courts are available here, as well as playgrounds. The Miamisburg Community Park is another great space to walk your pup, and features a basketball court, skate park, nature walk, bike trails, and a play area for kids. Fido will bring his leash to you for a walk down the pawsome nature walk in this lovely green area.

Carlisle
The Twin Creek MetroPark is in Carlisle, and only 5 miles from Germantown. This peaceful location offers hiking and horseback riding trails, creek fishing, campsites, and picnic shelters for a dog-tastic camping experience, or just an afternoon out in nature. You and your pup will love a short, casual stroll through the woods, or you can challenge yourselves with a 10-mile hike along rolling terrain. Camp Hook is a former scout camp and sits at the southern end of Twin Creek MetroPark. This scenic area has great hiking for a paw-some day with your pup. For even more outdoor fun, the Five Rivers Metro Park has more than 75 miles of natural surface trails to explore.

Mound Park
Miamisburg Mound State Memorial is a small park, just 5 miles from Germantown. This park is best known for the 68-foot-high burial mound left behind from the Adena culture, and is the largest mound west of the Mississippi River. Get your pup's leash on, and your running shoes, and climb the 117 steps to the top of the Mound. Here, you can see a great panoramic view of the city. Bring a picnic along and enjoy more time with your pup in the beautiful outdoors before heading back home. The park has an open flat area at the base of the mound for an easier leashed walk or a game of Fetch.
Miamisburg
Riverfront Park, just five miles from Germantown, in Miamisburg, covers 7 acres of green space along the Great Miami River, and offers a long trail through the center for a pawsome walk near the river. Your pup will enjoy a round of fetch on the green space or enjoy a picnic. The park also offers access to the Great Miami River Recreation Trail. The trail is quite scenic with a smooth surface, and is well signed and easy at the southern end. The middle section (around Troy) has fewer signs, so be aware. The park is a short walking distance to Downtown Miamisburg's shops and restaurants.
